Is this acceptable quality on a brand new Kubota?

Some edge around the welds is normal, I would not worry about that. If your seeing corrosion already, as a dealer I'd take pictures are try and file a warrenty claim against it. Thats your quickest way to a solution. Your not going to make much headway without good pictures. You gotta come to this with proof to keep from being written off as another crazy customer who thinks his tractor is a porche.

I'm glad to see in your other post that you would probably just swap the loader out. That is what I would expect my dealer to do if this was my problem.

I'm sorry Neil, but an edge around the weld is not acceptable or normal, and you would fail a certification for it. Undercut on the material is considered a weld defect.
The welds on that loader are examples of defective welds.

Then all he needs to do is get a certified welder to document that in writing.

I have so say, those are the WORST looking welds I've ever seen on anything that was offered for sale to the public (this would exclude some of my own welding). Literally.

Yea its got some scratches on it, especially the bottom and inside of the bucket...that is what its for.

I mean no offense at this but this makes me chuckle. At 150 hrs on the clock I've wore the paint almost completely off the bottom of my bucket :D

I went out and checked the welds on my LA723 loader frame and though not near as ugly as yours they are far from perfect. Yet they have held just fine at the loader max lifting capacity on numerous occasions.

As others have said, If you are that picky about the visual astics of the welds you should not of took delivery of it to begin with. Buyer Beware!

I've seen some perfect looking welds that popped loose due to no penetration. Function before Form I say.

There not even close to the worst I have ever seen.

I have also seen gas lines, and petroleum pipe lines, with worse looking welds than that.

I completely understand someone who uses their tractor as a tool uses it hard and keeps it outside and never washes or waxes it, it starts every-time and does whatever he needs it to do it's a tool. There are more important things in life and everyones different. I understand that very well and it's ok with me.
What I don't understand is why they can't accept or understand anybody who wants to own something nice use their tractor when ever they need it and keep it nice the same time, and why it bothers them so.

Buyer Beware! ?? Yeah Buyer beware notice the defect before you get home from the Kubota dealer??? It's not a gray market tractor.
Your kidding right.

No offense taken...to be more specific, yes, pretty much all the paint was wore off the bottom of my bucket and quite a bit off the inside. I wore the front edge down enough that I needed to grind and smooth the edge, as it became very sharp in a few places. It is possible to use tools and still keep them looking nice. The bucket looked well used, but I also see no reason beat it up or let it rust.

I don't think I stated that I needed perfect welds: If I did, I mis-spoke. I have stated that I was expecting weld quality consistent with other kubotas I have seen including my previous tractor. If your welds are as bad as mine, lets see some pictures.

yea, yea, I get it..... Buyer Beware, I should have inspected better, I'm guilty.

A friend of mine decided it would make me feel better to see his welds....see any difference?
