No fee for delivery for me, but I'm only 15 minutes away. A bit longer now that the roads have washed out, but that's temporary.

I wouldn't expect them to cover trucking for warranty work.

They did come to my place one time to fix something for free after I described it on the phone.

I'm pretty happy with my dealer, small family run shop in a no stop light town. Good communication back and forth and I also picked up a UTV from them.
That's a good deal you have there. That has to be e rare case to have a dealer in that small of a town. What's the population there? Do the serve a larger population close by?

It now looks like i’m going to have to invest in a trailer for the tractor so I can get the tractor fixed when and if it needs fixing.
At this point, that would probably be the most unwise decision, from a money and storage space perspective, unless you have other uses for the trailer.

It's all rural here. No real population centers, but a couple of shopping hubs where groceries etc can be found.

The town the dealer is in has 3200 folks-second biggest town in the county after the city of Berlin with 9400, mine has 900.

They serve much of NW New Hampshire and NE Vermont.

I'm pretty sure they're the furthest north dealer in the state.

Is it common practice for a dealer to charge for trucking to deliver a new tractor and pick up the trade in? 6 months ago i traded in my Massey Ferguson 1533 for a new Kioti 4210 se HST. The reason I got it was I was tired of plowing snow with no cab, I’m getting too old for ruffling it in the cold.

A month ago there was a problem with the fuel gage on working. I was told It was under warranty and that there would be no charge to fix it …..but it would cost $200 for trucking. Then I just had a problem with a bad fuel water sensor. Again it was under warranty and it would cost $200 for trucking. I ended up fixing both of these problem myself. The fuel level sensor I didn’t have to pay for but the fuel water sensor I had to pay for with the stipulation that since I would intall it would not be under warranty.

This dealer is really piss’n me off and I wonder what they would do if there was a major problem with the tractor. They are so inconsistent with their cheapness.
Considering the cost of fuel for his truck and the fact that he he has to pay an employee to fetch it, I'd say a reasonable transportation charge is warranted. Don't know if 200 bucks is reasonable and customary but in today's inflation driven market, to me, 200 bucks is basically chump change. I'm in a nice position that if one of my units has to go to the shop, I work for them part time so I grab the roll back and fetch it myself.

I did not. My assumption was that I just spent close to $30,000 on a tractor and attachments that I would get at least some kind of reasonable customer service. Seeing also that I bought the Mf 1533 from them also. Which they did a free delivery of the new tractor and one warranty repair that had to be trucked at no cost to me. Again they have problems with their inconsistent policies and customer service.
It now looks like i’m going to have to invest in a trailer for the tractor so I can get the tractor fixed when and if it needs fixing.
$200 dealer charge verses cost of trailer?

I just had to pay $300.00 for warranty work, 60 miles round trip.

I got a trailer when I bought my tractor, because I knew I wanted to be able to move it and not worry about the dealer picking it up. In the last 14 years I've hauled it a lot of places but never back to the dealer.

300.00 for transportation. I guess they have to get some money out of you one way or another.
