Is this some kind of pressure relief valve?

I think I found a local supplier of Prince valves but they are closed for the day. I will try them tomorrow.

Thinking the 1/2" valve would work since it is rated for the same flows and pressures.
Isn't your valve a half-inch valve? I was thinking it was because that is what you linked to. If it is less than half inch, 1/2 inch valves should be a good upgrade.

Yes my valve is 1/2" but with the restrictions in the flow path I can see why there is such a large pressure loss through it. I thought / hoped the Prince valve had a clear flow path and if so then I would just get the 1/2". The pressure / flow ratings for the Prince 1/2" and the 3/4" are the same. I would have to see the valve or get confirmation that it has a clear path before buying it. The guy at PA (where I bought the valve) told me the ones they used to sell had a clear flow path.

Won't be calling Motion Canada tomorrow about the Prince valve. I forgot it was Friday and I don't think they are open on Saturdays.

Did some more internet searching and it appears the Prince valve does not have a clear flow path either. It also looks like the 1/2" and the 3/4" valves use the same part number for the poppet valve. Not sure if the through ports on the 2 valves are the same with different connection sizes or if the port sizes match the connection size. Looks like I may have to wait until Monday to find out.

I decided to abandon the skidsteer approach because I think there is something wrong with the auxiliary hydraulics and I don't want to screw up the machine just to use the snow blower. I am going to mount the blower on the front of the tractor and install / construct a hydraulic pack off the pto. I will start a new thread about this when I get going on it.
