He quoted me those prices last November 2006 when the CDA $ was a bit higher then it is now. Also, I was going to buy a tractor at the same time so maybe he was giving me a better deal then.
I remembered after I posted last night that he was going to make up the hoses and supply all the quick connects and fittings, which may not have been included in the crate price. Also the .02 difference in exchange between now and then would account for about $140.00 difference alone so it seems like 6900 is still a reasonable price especially since there is only one tax.
Thanks for the information.

Thanks everybody for all the help and advice. I just took the plunge and ordered the Woods BH70X with subframe & 12" bucket. Turns out the Canadian dollar has gained about .03 in the last month so now the price is $6575 or $6525 if he doesn't have to make up any hoses for it, which is pretty close to what Northland was quoted last fall. Hopefully I'll be seeing it in 3 or 4 weeks (guess it takes a little while to get the matching paint on it). Then I'll get to find out what's involved with the installation. My tractor still has the original hydraulic fluid in it, so when I add some for the BH should I be using UDT or SUDT? I was also wondering if I have UDT now and then switch to SUDT at my 50 hr service, will it matter that there's still a little bit of UDT left over in the BH?
Thanks

Congrats on the new implement purchase! You might want to ask the questions on the implement forum as well

Well, my new BH70X and subframe was delivered about a week and a half ago and I just started the installation last week. Now I'm waiting on the hose kit which I guess wasn't in stock at the time. If anybody is interested, let me know and I'll start a new thread about the installation. One other thing- the subframe mounts to 4 threaded holes on each side of the rear axle housing. If anybody is thinking of adding a subframe in the far future it might be an idea to get some really short M12 bolts, PUT NEVER SEIZE ON THEM, and screw them into those holes so that the threads are still clean when you go to use them. Just a thought.
