I bought a bent "L" style for my Iseki but the only easy to use bfrost plug didn't have enough reem in the water jscket for it. I put in a new plug and went with a recirculating radiator hose heater that works wonderful. Very easy to install.

I had that style heater on my tractor but it was in the way when I started building a loader subframe for it. Anyway I have the new block heater here, the heating element on it is straight so hopefully it's the right one.

I'm curious Yomax what engine does your Ta247 have in it?

Thanks Nuno!

I completed the install of the block heater today. It came with instructions, simple and straight forward, didn't take very long. The hardest part was cleaning up the frost plug opening. I unbolted the starter( didn't need to disconnect it ) and pulled it away from the block to give myself a bit more room.
The element fit perfectly. The literature that came with the block heater stated it was for Isuzu engines 4JA1,4JB1, 4JC1 and when I ordered it from the jobber I asked for a block heater for a 4JD1 based on the premise that a MF1160 which has a 4JD1 is the closest N/A model to my TA357( 4JE1 ).

Good job Gerald, it looks like it was made there. Did not know this heating system, works with 12v of the tractor? with a separate switch?

Thanks Nuno,

It come with an electrical cord, plugs into 110 volt outlet. It uses 400 watts so I need to get a timer for it to avoid using too much electricity when I plug it in overnight.

I have the Isuzu 4JE1 motor in my IHI is40g excavator. I can not find any manuals or info on it. It痴 an odd ball motor.

Yes it does seem to be a rare bird. I think it was restricted to use in the Asian market. I've looked for info on this motor as well but can't anything on it. I do have an illustrated parts book that came with my tractor and when comparing it to a parts list for a MF1160 which has a 4JC1 engine there are many similarities. I ordered a water pump from a Massey dealer for a 1160 and it matched the one on my tractor. The C1 is bigger though at 2200cc while the E1 is 1822cc. I think the closet version of this engine series for which there is info available in English is the 4JD1 at 2039cc which is used in the Iseki TA537( European model ).

Thank you for the info. The 4je1 seems so obsolete but since mine still runs I値l just hope it keeps chugging along.
