What became of your BX22?????? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

It's a long story,
Started up my own Landscaping company and needed something to load my dumptruck (BX just wouldn't do it) /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif. So I bought a John Deere /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif 240 skid steer. Didn't really use it enough, sold all of my equipment, got out of the business, and really missed my backhoe /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif. So I just sold that a couple of weeks ago and tossed around the idea of getting a new Kubota. I would really have liked a B21 but a little out of my price range. So I called Jim at Emerichs (same fellow I bought my BX22 from) and he shot me the same price I paid for my BX22 along with the great Kubota financing. So needless to say it should arrive here Saturday afternoon /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif.

Great deal. I purchased mine from Jim this spring (15,300). I haven't regretted it for a second. Emerichs is great to do business with. Jim isn't just some snake oil pedaling sales man trying to move units, The service before during and after has been great. Try to get that from Carver.

But for the extra $300 I paid, I think he owes me another hat.

I don't understand what is going on with New England dealers. Emerichs is not a cut rate dealer in this area. They have a reputation of fair pricing and good service. Their every day prices seem to be beating the pants of New England dealers. They are not discounting to steal sales. Are other dealers trying to retire on each tractor sale??? Well good for Jim his customer base is expanding and he has earned it.

This is the response I got from Carver and the reason I 1st contacted Emerich:
Welcome to Carver Equip., since 1959
Good morning,
Thanks for visiting our website store on the Internet, your note and the opportunity to serve you. We welcome all shoppers and strive to serve as best can to see that you are 100% satisfied.

Regretfully, the manufacturer of the product you listed on the request form (KUBOTA) is now discouraging Internet marketing and long distance quotes (phone, mail, or email) of their new products. They've indicated that they want shoppers to buy closer to their home.

We are offering used Kubotas and almost new (but used) equipment at great values.
We do have ZERO percent financing with Kioti Tractor.

Let me know if you would like to consider USED fine products or products from other tractor, mower, implement, and loader manufacturers.

We'll be pleased to serve you with great values, service and reasonable pricing.

Apparently Kubota doesn't understand that this is the UNITED States of America and that as American's we are free to purchase any product in any State, even if it isn't our home State. I believe that Kubota's stance is a restraint of trade and is in violation of the law of the land. It is unfortunate that they wield so much power over the dealerships to stop them from selling across States borders, but can't get the dealers to "wake up and smell the coffee". If the local dealers weren't trying to rape the customers, there would be no need for interstate transactions. I wonder how long it is going to be before someone makes a complaint to the Justice Department so they start to look into this abominable situation of trade restraint as practiced by Kubota. /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif

Do you think Kubota is stupid enough to think this isn't costing them money? My brother-in-law bought a Massey GC2300 instead of a BX2230 because the dealers around here are so bad and the Massey dealers (2 different ones) are so good.
