Here I am,Chuck. Thanks to all who have dropped by.
Been busy of late. I think the hour meter on the CK20 just turned 35 hours old. And in those 35 hours this tractor has been rode hard and put away wet. I think that's what they used to say about those draft horse teams after a hard day in the woods skidding timber. I sure do like this tractor and it runs just perfect. I just don't know what I would have done without it to man handle all this snow we have had this year.
I even went on a rescue mission for my neighbor who was not only snowed in but his plumbing was froze up. He had not been keeping his drive cleared on a regular basis. The local guy with the pick up and plow on the front usually clears drive ways but got stuck but good in my neighbors drive. It took a wrecker and a big tow bill to reef the guy out of the snow bank and the drive was still plugged. That took the cake for the poor plow truck driver so he quit on the spot........that is he quit long enough until I could get the CK20 into that drive and open him up a nice access hole in the snow so that he can now maintain the snow removal.
I guess that made me the hero because now everybody is happy. The LP gas company who had earlier refused to get in there and fill the tank because of no plowed drive finally was able to return and fill the tank. Incidentally, this was the reason the plumbing froze in the first place. No plowed drive=No LP gas delivery=no heat in house=frozen pipes. And so it goes. Anyway, the combination of my CK20 and a FEL and a nice rear Blower really scored some knockout punches against this wall of white this Winter.

My CK starts as good as any other diesel. I keep it in the garage and it's 38* in there. It always stars on the first or second try with no engine warmer. If I use the engine magnetic heater it runs even smoother as it sputters to come to life. That's beautiful country you live in out there.

Somebody yelled, "Incoming" the other day. I looked up an noted another flare lighting up the sky. Awwww, that's just those guys from the lower peninsula I said. They won't hurt you, they are just tryingto get somebody to wake up. lol

When my CK20 turns 50 (hours) old, it's going to get a birthday party and I will go ahead and give it the 50 hour service. I have accumulated Shell RotellaT 10W30 oil, 80-90 wt.gear lube as well as 8 gallons of tractor tranny/hydraulic fluid. My dealer has seen to it I will receive the appropriate filters and is always there to advise me. He shipped them up to me via UPS. I don't mind rolling up my sleeves and getting into the grease and oil but if I was closer I think I would just have the dealer service the tractor as he knows it better then I. Back on the farm we always did that work and that's the way it got done. I was always taught take good care of your horses and tractors and they will take good care of you. Thanks for checking in.

Hello neighbor. Yup, Skinners is a good dealer but I don't believe they handle Kioti. At least if the do it's news to me. Used to be folks from this area flocked to Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario from the U.S. side and bought those Kubota's by the dozens. But that was back when the dollar U.S. was worth at least a dollar or more Canadian. The pendulum swings. Stay warm up there.
