It's snowing here big time!

We have around 3 inches of the white stuff here in Mid Michigan and it is still coming down. The snow plow just went by. It is 23*f outside and a toasty 72* inside.
That Accu-weather picture looks like we will be getting a bunch more.
I knew we were in store for some stormy weather because we had around 40 doves scrounging bird seed from around our feeders yesterday.

No snow here in Ohio because I put the snow plow on the 40D.

Now if I were to just take that baby off.......look out

I put the snow tires on last week - usually that delays the white stuff 30 days. Still have a bunch of leaves to take care of though... (I suppose it is a ying and yang kind of thing). Twice in 6 years winter has set in before fall ended. I am looking forward to firing up the new snowblower, but am supposed to be traveling for work Monday.

Perhaps I'll have to call in sick with ski-itis majoris exacerbated by my inability to head south on a powder day...

It's been snowing like that around here for the last 4 hours or so. School closings and roads closures are being announced on the radio now. My high speed wireless Internet is still working for now at least.

Well the snow subsided last night but it just started again-see pictures.

It's -12C and we are expecting another 8 to 12" by tonight. It is now an absolute white out. The last picture gives an idea- it's taken from inside my office.

Delmar knows how to spend his day.

The tractor is plugged in and ready for work.

I have a friend who's previous Doberman used to sleep w his head under the woodstove. It wasn't a large stove and he wasn't a small dog. Did it on a daily basis all winter.

You got that right! It was -24.7C (-12F) yesterday morning. We got another 6" of snow last night and apparently a "wall of snow" is heading our way. It's only -8C this morning.

My late dobey used to sleep with her head under the woodstove too. I am waiting for some real snow here in western MA; so far around 4" this year cumulative; waiting for 4" - 6" today/tomorrow; hopefully without a lot of sleet/freezing rain. I got my snowshoes out about two weeks ago and I am ready to go. My German Shepard loves to go snowshoeing. I agree a tired dog is a good dog. I wish the wind would not keep blowing down trees across my snowshoeing trails on my property and

Thanks for pics, I love it when it snows that hard. It's great getting the tractor out.....nothing can stand in it's way.

We just got a dusting in my area of Southwestern Ontario with some 6" drifts here & there. Better to have a heavy snowfall than freezing rain. We might end up getting some freezing stuff later today into tonight. Terrible on the trees.
