Nice collection, I collect mostly farm models but do have a few construction and diecast trucks.

How long have you been afflicted with this Robert?

I've got about half my stuff in boxes because I haven't a place to display them. And I still don't have half as many as half of your halve's half have.

I love the cranes.

I'd like to have all the 57 chevy stakes and 54 GMCs. But it'd probably mean a new wife.

Did you see Northern's add today? They have all their 1/50th Caterpillar stuff on sale. A man could be a kid with a credit card for just a minute and be down at least a grand. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I thought I was the only one that was nuts. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif I have a collection, but not as big as Robert's. I used to go to the shows pretty often. One must contain oneself as not to put down a second mortage. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I have been collecting heavy about the last 10 years. But I have been collecting farm toys in particular for about 15 years. The cranes are great (and expensive /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif). Northerns sale prices are about the same and in most cases more then I can get them online so I don't bother looking too much anymore. I get most of my construction models thru DHS Diecast at http://www.dhsdiecast.com/index.cfm There is a new crane out that you might like, it is made by Conrad in Germany and is the Demag CC8800 crawler. The model weighs 43 pounds /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

It is hard to visualize this model but it dwarfs any of my cranes. Price in the US is $650 /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif which means I won't get it too soon. Maybe next year /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

The Chevy and GMC stake trucks are hard to collect because there are so many variations. Once you think you have them all you find out about another set and you start collecting again. I collect just what I like. If the model doesn't look good I don't get it. Granted, I like a lot of models /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif Take care.
