Anybody ever seen this issue on their LS?

LS J2023H, bought in summer of 2014. I was snowblowing my driveway yesterday, went to lower the snowblower and the lever for lifting/lowering/angling the snowblower (or loader if thats installed) was just flopping around...like it was no longer connected to anything.

I pulled off the rubber dust cover and this is what I found:

tractor_2.JPGtractor_1.JPG

So what I'm seeing is theres one piece in there whos job is to "fix" the control lever, so as you push it up/down or left/right it has something to hold it steady while its pushing/pulling the hydraulic valve...hope Im explaining that ok. But where that point mounts broke right off and without it the handle just flops around.

Anybody else seen this? Or have any idea at all where I can find that part? The website I normally use for parts doesn't appear to have any loader parts...just tractor parts. Its an LL2101 model loader.

I emailed my dealer, waiting for a response. It's still covered under the 5-year warranty but apparently that doesn't include the loader....of course

This is the third issue I've had since buying now. It's closing in on 5 years (bought in summer of 2014) but it has 155.3 hours total which I would assume its very low for its age? Its used almost entirely for driveway maintenance...spreading some fresh gravel/pulling a grader in warm months, and now snowblowing in cold months. So its lived a very easy life. I had a seal in the front axle leak, the muffler cracked for no apparent reason, and now this piece broke. Just seems like there are some light weight chinsy parts being used...Im kind of concerned to keep it beyond the warranty period...but not really looking to spend a bunch of money going to another color either.

So upon further investigation the control unit itself is made by BESKO, looks like model 801Z1-80000 but unfortunately my google searches have come up with no results on that part number. I found a control valve that looks identical in the picture but made by Prince? $181 unfortunately....Im really hoping I can replace that tiny part and not needing to replace the entire assembly? Heres the link to the similar looking part:

2 Spool 12 GPM Joystick Loader Control Valve | Joystick Valves | Hydraulic Valves | Hydraulics | www.surpluscenter.com

Anyway, the part is currently sitting on my counter put back together with JB Weld...I have no illusions that that will be a permanent fix, but Im hoping its strong enough to hold together for a few more weeks of snowblowing maybe? I figure I'll just be very gentle with it...maybe I'll get lucky. We still have a lot of snow season left and I need that snowblower going!

Have you tried a New Holland dealer? LS builds many of their tractors and I have used them almost exclusively to buy parts for my MT125. There may be some crossover there for your machine. LS can't propriatary build all their parts and this valve would have to be generic with another machine. Just a thought...... Good luck.

Here's all the info that I have on these and it isn't much help. I have the same loader but show slightly different assembly part numbers in my manuals. 40228706 is the LS assy number and 801W1-82000 is the Besko. The tag says 801z1-8000 .Hopefully someone can chime in on your find at the Surplus Center. It could be good. I looked for info on the Besko before and had gotten nowhere. Unfortunately the Boomer 24 NH used a totally different control. Taesung I believe made the loader which is also used on TYM and KIOTI. Please let us know what you find out and end up doing. Tom

Thanks guys, yeah even with my advanced Google skills its incredible there seems to be nothing on the Besko valve on my tractor. The manual is useless, and unfortunately all my dealer was able to find is a "repair kit" for it that includes those small internal parts....for the low low price of $160!! The actual replacement on the LS parts website is for the entire valve only for $850(!). I paid $13k for the entire tractor...I'm not quite sure how they justify $850 for one part like that...but I digress.

The valve Im looking to order from that Surplus Center website APPEARS to be the same shape/dimensions as mine...but I can't confirm that really until I order it. With shipping its just shy of $200. For $40 more I'd prefer buy the entire assembly than the "repair kit" and have an entire spare (minus the one small part that broke).

Can anyone tell me what "2 Spool" refers to? Is that what I need for the tractor? 12 GPM is good (the 2023 is 9.2 GPM) but Im not quite sure what 2 spool means.

The item description says this:

Spool Details:
Spool 1 Double acting spring centered
Spool 2 Double acting spring centered with detented float position.

I'm guessing thats right? Just want a little verification before placing the order. Thanks!

By the way - JB Weld failed miserably. I took my time, really did a nice job and gave it plenty of time to dry inside in warm temperature...put it back together, it seemed to do ok up/down and left/right...until I gently pushed the handle up to float the bucket and the part broke right back apart. No luck there...Im wondering if an actual weld might be the answer? I can stick weld but its such a small part I suspect a TIG weld might be better.

You may want to post on the hydraulics forum. I'm not by my tractor now, but will the fittings interchange? Have you thought of adding another function to your hydraulics?

I ordered a new control valve from surpluscenter.com, this one:

2 Spool 12 GPM Joystick Loader Control Valve | Joystick Valves | Hydraulic Valves | Hydraulics | www.surpluscenter.com

Valve is correct...however the ports are not the same as the current one. This new valve uses SAE 8 ports and the current loader fittings use something different. I was hoping someone could tell me what type of fittings these are? And possibly even the size if you know? Heres a few pics of the current fittings:

From what I can tell by google searching they maybe appear to be BSPP type fittings? Can anyone confirm that? And if so....any clue where I can find "male SAE to female BSPP" adapters? If they are infact BSPP Ive been unable to find SAE-BSPP adapters anywhere...

They are called Banjo bolts. The part that the bolt goes through looks like a banjo. Search the term “banjo” at Discount Hydraulic Hose | Your Online Hydraulic Shop

I do not think you will find an adapter to directly connect those banjo fittings to your new valve. Can you post a couple more pictures of the ends on the hoses to see if they are crimped or possibly threaded onto another fitting on the end of the hose?

I have a feeling that in order to use your new valve, you will have to take all of the hoses that connect to the valve off of the tractor and take them to a shop to have 90 degree SAE fittings crimped on in place of the banjo fittings.
