Jacking up a Tractor Question

Hello I am new to tractors, I just purchased a Kioti CX2510 and I am thinking of grooving the R4 tires for better winter traction. (I can't use chains or studs on the paved driveway). I would like to be able to jack up each tire separately when I come to groove that tire. Where do I put my 2 1/2 ton jack? There is no mention of jacking in the manual. Can I put the jack and jack stands under the front or rear axle casing or will I damage the casing? Your input is welcome. Thanks Bill

Do you have a FEL? Not sure if they are all like this but on my Kioti the frame for the loader goes all the way to the rear axle and is thick. I place my jacks for the rear centered under the axle and on the loader frame. I can lift each side independentl. In fact my tractor has been sitting on a jack for over a week as I have been working on adding some things to it.

I used FEL to lift front tires, rear tires I let the three point hitch implement down all the way and used a 4ton hydraulic jack to lift rear wheels off the ground. Grooved tires work GREAT on snow

Be careful jacking the rear in the center. Unless you have a FEL on the ground, the tractor can tilt over on the front axle pivot. The other option is to wedge the front axle solid to the frame.

Never had that issue with mine. Centering the jack on the center of the drawbar centers the balance just fine. My units weigh over 9,000 pounds each. been doing that for years btw.

What the drawbar is for as it's the strongest point in the back end.

Not sure why you need to jack it up at all. Can't you do the top third of each tire, then roll it forward a bit, do the next section, then roll forward to complete the job? Doesn't seem like jacking it up is needed at all.

It is nice to have the tires off the floor, I did my tractor in three hours all 4 wheels, with beer breaks in between.

I jack up my tractor when I install the chains before winter. I can life the entire back end of the tractor by lifting on the drawbar. Then put jack stands under each axle.

I am 70 YO and will never put chains on. If a young strong guy like you needs that much time and effort, it is not a long term solution. And I have the oversize turfs on my LS so there is even less clearance!!!

My thoughts are to stud the tires. It will take a lot time but that I have. My tractor does not operate on pavement so studs should be OK.

I tie a strong cord between the sides of the chain and hook that over the lugs on the tire then I just drive forward and let the tractor pull them on.

The whole job, both wheels takes 10 minutes or less and that's getting off my tractor 4 times to make sure the chains on both wheels stay straight and that they are going on tight.
