I have a kubota l2800 with a clutch and the rear speed in 1st is 1.5. It does well even in deep snow with the rear woods snow blower I have. What I have found is slow speed is most important. At 1.7 you should do ok. The worst part as everyone has said is the looking back wards. I do like the idea of a camera.
