JD 2520 will not start

Well I used the 2520 for about 1 hour today and was about to load a Rock into the bucket so I lowered the bucket turned off the tractor and when I went to start it again it would not start. The dash lights come on and the fuel pump clicks as normal but the starter does not turn over. I checked the battery terminals cleaned and reconnected. I put a charge on the battery and it shows a full charge. This was very sudden the starter does not seem to work. I also checked the fuses I can find all seem fine. The hydro is in neutral I turn the key nothing. I called my dealer and they did not know what else to check so they are sending someone to the house this morning to check it out. That is pretty good service hope they figure it out I will keep you updated. I think it is one of the safety switches . The manual refers to a neutral start switch, fuse, key switch, or faulty starter .

We'll be interested to hear what may have caused the problem.

I'd suspect needing a new battery, but that would just be from my own experience when it happened similar to yours.

It was the neutral switch connection had come loose inside the boot that covers it. I did not know where this was but now I do for sure. It is just below where the shifter goes and it has a boot covering it. There is another one right next to it for the PTO . I was very impressed that the dealer came as fast as they did and I thanked them this was Great service. Plus I learned something about the tractor I will never forget. Maybe I should get the Repair Manual .
