JD 3000 or 4000 series

A good choice. Keep looking for a used one in the meantime, as you can save a lot, like ~ 15K.

There are new 4000 machine coming out as well, so that may be worth waiting for. There'll likely be 'blowout' pricing on the current models as well. (JD blowout = ~4%).

I hummed and hawed a lot about a hoe, and still would like one, but they're SO expensive (~12k CDN). That's a lot of days to rent a mini-hoe from CAT rentals, and a mini-hoe is a much more capable machine.

Good luck, lemme know if I can help at all.

I'd take interlaux up on his offer!!! My friends 4520 came from FLA. He had it shipped most of the way (ND or Montana) and he picked it up from there.

Guess I'll have to do my own mowing:laughing:

Good luck finding a dealer you like - I've scanned your other posts. Change your mind - look at the local (east Texas) non tractorhouse dealers inventories and the CL from east Texas - there are some deals that come up.
