I use one of these permanently installed on my RTV in conjunction with a dash mounted switch and a inline fuse. It serves double duty for the grass seeder and the sprayer. You could also use it with a trickle charger if you desired. Basically it's just like a four wire trailer connection.

Edit... I believe mine has a larger gauge wire.

Careful, it's only rated to 5 amps.

I noticed that. This was the first example I found online. I am fairly certain mine is a more robust version of this. But idk. I've used it for years with no problems to date.

FYI, that's actually 10ga wire in the photo above. Perhaps you don't realize how many amps a cigarette lighter actually pulls. The receptacle is usually designed to provide 15A, and fused for 20A

Most vehicles I have worked on only have 16 ga wire going to the cigarette lighter receptacle some suv's I have owned have 14 ga going to rear of vehicle 12 volt outlet for air compressors etc. Haven't checked the JD wires so I don't know what it uses. While it will help with voltage drop having a plug(like you showed) with 10 ga wire from the receptacle to the load, the wires from the fusebox to the receptacle may not handle it.
I used 10 ga wire on mine because I was running it 10 ft. or more from front of tractor to rear.
My sprayer has a pigtail about 12 inches long wired internally to motor, it looks to be 14 ga wire. When running sprayer all the time, and not pulsing, the wires get warm. When it pulses and I don't catch it wires get HOT and I can barely unplug wires because plug is so hot. That is MY sprayer all of them may not do that but mine has for six years now.

That motor only pulls 7.5 amps, easily handled by your tractor wiring.

I use a similar sprayer in the back of my RTV900, and simply use a seperate 12 deep cycle marine battery that cost around $60 from Costco. It is amazing how long it will run between charges. Not quite as convenient as a "plug in", but it works well

Ok I found lots of wiring harness' . 2 wires look very interesting a black and a green which are caped the same and right next to each other.. Tomorrow I'm going to purchase a volt/ohm meter to determine if there is any power on them and what switch if any controls power.

I found the wiring to what would be the rear lights as I have voltage when the light switch is turned on. This is going to work out excellent. Does anyone know what this electrical connector is called ? Does it come in different sizes ? Where would you purchase one ?
