JD 4400 on a U-haul?

I looked into U-haul trailers to haul my 4300, and they seem to have only these car trailers as you pictured. A few years ago, U-haul had flat trailers that would work much better, but seems they do not offer them now.

And the car haulers were just too small to get the 4300 with FEL on (let alone U-haul was rather specific that only a car would be hauled on their trailer). I gave up going that route too.

Few years back, I hauled a JD 1010 Utility (Turf Special) which has dual rear wheels with turf tires on them back to NH from Delaware on a U-Haul car trailer. The tech at the store said the computer wouldn't take that as an "acceptable load" so I found a "vehicle" that fit the approximate size and weight of the tractor and submitted that. It worked! As long as the weight is under the capacity of the trailer, your motor vehicle insurance should cover any issues; I did check with mine before heading out. Don't be afraid to ask questions--life doesn't always fit into the cookie cutter holes people make for it.

I called the dealer and he said inside wheel measurement was gonna be 28". That number was a head scratcher for me but combined with your replies it convinced me to stop trying to fight the tractor onto an awkward and too small trailer, sight unseen.

I'm going the craigslist route now, and it doesn't look too bad. Thanks to all!
