Well, John Deere lost the sell of the 5325. I can't justify paying that much money for a tractor that will not be delivered until September. The entire point of buying a tractor was to enjoy the AC during the summer months.

Instead, the farm bought a new 5425! It doesn't have the ehitch, but since I've never used one, I will never know what I'm missing. It only has two rear remotes. But that isn't a problem. I can add the third when I need it.
I have to say, Cameron and his Dad over at Sparrow & Kennedy Tractor Company in Bishopville, SC were awesome to work with. My Dad made the comment that they treated us the same as if we were buying a $250,000 combine. Cameron has been honest, patient, informative, helpful, and left us feeling he genuinely did his best to help us as his customers. He gave the farm a fantastic price on the 5425.
The big differences I've noticed when buying a tractor as opposed to buying a car is that all the tractor folks I've dealt with have always given me the impression of being honest. I don't feel like I'm in an adversarial relationship squabbling over every nickel and dime. No shell games, no barely audible babble of disclaimers at the end of the commercial. No fine print.
There are a couple of dealers that frequent this forum and they ALL come across as honest dealerships. Even when they discuss the benefits or minuses of their particular tractor as compared to others, they do it with class.
I want to recognize Gamble for all the help in researching 5x25s and the 5603. Even though I did not buy from him, he always treated me a valued customer. A big thanks to Cameron for working his proverbial arse off for us, getting us a great deal, and helping us get our tractor sooner rather than later.
Tractor folks are just good people.
I'll post up some photos as soon as she is delivered. Hopefully within about 7 to 10 days.
