JD 5325 to replace M6800?

Tough call. Would depend on how good the driving roads are vs. how many acres I have. Looks like you have 60 acres and are in hills/mountains of SC. Did I mention it's a tough call?

You list 130 hours on the M6800.... if you tractor less than 100hrs/year, I'd probably get the Boxster. Unless you have severe allergies, asthma, or a bee sting allergy, in which case the cab tractor could be a life-saver, literally.

Actually, the tractor has 300 hours on it. I don't pay too much attention to the HOBBS meter until it gets to a hundred number. :D I might have to run by the Porsche dealership on Thursday to see what is the better option. :D

I'd personally go for the JD. Although the car is a nice alternative, albeit the other end of the tractor spectrum.

If you factor in service costs for the Porsche, the tractor is a bargain!:D :D

I can't imagine having enough disposable income for that to be a choice! My kubota has to earn its keep or it would have to leave. I'd love to have one as a "toy" though!

It is a tough call... but reality always wins out. If I buy a Boxster S, I want a 2007 model. That is when they gave the car the power it deserves, 295 hp. However, because I am not rich by any stretch of the imagination, I have to wait 3 years to buy that 2007 model. Someone else has to take the depreciation hit. :D

By going Green now, I have to put off the Porsche for six more years. :( But then again I'll have a nice AC cab to cruise around the fields for those six years. :)

Drive the car and have a good time, or drive the tractor, have a good time and accomplish something.

With one, you don't need a license, with the other, I would not have a license. JC

Hmmm...this is a very strange thread...

It might be a strange thread, but at least it is entertaining. :D A deposit was placed on the tractor today. Sounds like we might not get our tractor built and delivered until September!
