After a handful of posts here, I think I've found my tractor at a reasonable price and I'm ready to buy. I'm looking tonite so any tips of what to look for would be appreciated. Pictures look like it hasn't been abused. He'll take $7000 for it. What do you think??

Duties of the tractor will be mostly maintaining my Lake property. 1 -2 acres brush hogging with some slope. dig Post hole. level off some areas. Grading road.

Look at the tires, fluids, slop in the loader pins, see how it runs. Check the battery tray for corrosion (many rot right through at this age). Make sure the clutch operates properly and the pto works with an implement. Look closely for overspray to see if its been repainted. Things like that.

$7000 seems a little high to me. I'd be happy if I got $7K for my 770 which is one step bigger, more Hp, dual stage clutch, seven years newer and same ballpark on hours. I paid less for mine a few years ago. Paint is a bit rough on mine though...

It sounds a bit high to me also. That tractor shouldn't run you more than $5500-6k max.
