jd 790 with log spliter

I've a 5 yr old 790 that I want to add a log splitter to, the dealer(very knowldgable guy) told me when I bought it that there were two bolts under the seat that I could remove and add couplers and from there go to the log splitter. I returned a couple of days ago and got another guy(also very knowledgeable) who told me I'd needed to add the scv. Who's right?

Depends. Do you have a control valve with your log splitter? I expect you do. In this case, they both are.
