seen that years back, not really sure why it never took off, probably to slow to get where needed(?)

I thinks it would be a little slow and unstable on uneven ground. How come it is not painted John Deere Green?

Saw it in Reynolds museum in Alberta. It never caught on, I wonder why?

It's not JD green because it wasn't developed by JD. it was developed by Timberjack before JD bought them out. JD inherited it.

Timberjack had some really cool things in their R&D back in the 90s. They had an articulated log skidded that had a small set of tracks on each corner instead of tires.

I don't think it would be unstable these Menzi Muck A91 mit Universalgreifer - Universal grab - YouTube seem to be very stable, basically same type machine. I'm sure the wheels on this one make it faster to move from site to site.
