The choice goes beyond color. They are both good tractors, but are different in their aptitudes, and strong points. The JD is a larger, and heavier tractor, and will handle some things better. I like the intergration, and mounting of the Kubota back hoe better on the other side for example. I think it is always best to try to lay out your specific tasks, and the implements you will want first, and then buy the tractor best suited for running them. Things will become a lot clearer for you that way. Start with broad categories, and work down. Ground engaging VS mowing ( rough or finish) for example, five foot implements VS 4', etc. Width of smile required when operating, that kind of thing.
