Here ya go - the best of both worlds....

Decision on a Jeep pickup coming soon, truck could come on Wrangler or Fiat platform

I always plowed with a Dodge Power Wagon called a SNO FITER...not a typo that's what they called it. That thing plowed like a tank, i had a stick shift and I never could kill that thing. I plowed some times 24 hr a day, only taking naps with my head on the steering wheel in the middle of a large parking lot in the middle of a storm . You had to make it while it snowed.

Here's picture of what she looked like same color and all.

I was only 18 when my parents signed for a new truck and plow. Then came Nov. Dec. and not a snow flake in sight. They were great, they never gave me the " I told you so" look.

The first snow fall lasted a week. At the end of the week i dumped enough cash out of every pocked from my pants and jacket enough to pay for the truck 100%.

I like the pick up because I could load the back with bags of rock salt for weight, plus I gave it away to my customers.

I drove that beast hard and never spent a dime on repairs. They don't make em like that any more.

Cat that is the same Powerwagon I plowed with only automatic trans. You are right couldn't stick that thing just keep on truckin!!! (not so good for small drives though!)

You plowed for a week straight and had enough money to pay for a new plow truck.
You must never get tired.
The truck must have been dirt cheap.
Having not been in the plowing business where did you find all the accounts ?
If the story is true it belongs in the Gunisses book of records.
Well done.

If I were doing my driveway and needed manuverability the jeep would be great. But running commercial accounts and needing to move ALOT of snow, by far the best rig I have owned/used is my 01 F250 Diesel ext cab short box. It has the right amount of manuverability, can push a bunch of snow with a 9'4" v plow and is almost 10,000lbs ballasted out for plowing. So like anything else it all depends on WHAT you are doing. +1 I could have made more working at mcdonalds!! It was a good tax writeoff and the real money came with the large equipment for pushing banks back and large parkinglots. One of the worst trucks I plowed with was a 1/2ton dodge. Between rusting trans pans and weak front drivelines and steering parts falling off. I was 1 of the lucky ones, no trans failures. My buddie put in 6 under warranty before it went off and sold the truck. CJ
