Jerky LSeries 3pt Hitch Fixed

In my L3400 the L3010 valve made it a bunch smoother. I would have returned the tractor if Kubota could not have done anything. Now I can live with as it is pretty darn smooth. I can use my post hole auger and box scraper easily. Maybe I was lucky or unlucky depending on how you want to look at it?

For those of you newer owners it is pretty sad this is still going on. Totally unacceptable in my opinion.

BandDcabinet, did you ever get your 9Y021-18201 service manual? Anything helpful in it? Jokergerm, have you talked with Terry, the repair person you sighted. I can't believe this thread is dying out right on the verge of possible answers to the jerky hitch issue. If you've both come up empty, I appreciate your efforts and expense in trying to solve this problem anyway. Please let us know one way or the other.

Yes, I received the manual. I am traveling in Italy and will post some info when I return. No magic answers. However, I believe the manual provides some useful information that I will pass on.

I know that this is a SUPER LONG thread and this subject has been beat to death - but I want to let everyone out there know that the jerky 3PH on my 2011 L3800 (with 32 hrs) has been fixed. I had the Kubota dealer take it back and his mechanic worked on it for several days - but now it works just fine. They adjusted something - but didn't replace the valve. I was glad that I didn't have to escalate it to the Kubota factory rep. The 3PH works good - both up and down - but the only thing I have found out is that its not quite a responsive then what it was before - meaning it takes it longer to go up after I move the lever. I guess I can live with that though.

Just thought you might want to know that - at least in my case - that the factory valve & linkage was adjusted to fix the problem.

Tom, heck yea... that's very good to know. Thanks for posting it... It's a another piece of information for the puzzle.

IF you talk to your dealer again... if you can find out how much work it is "to adjust" the linkage would be nice to know.

If he worked on it for several days, it's touchy to adjust. I'd say he was reducing the amount it lifts before the feedback linkage stops it. That would explain the slower lift as well.

I spoke with a Deere dealer a few days ago on another matter, and he asked me how the Kubota was working. I said it was a good tractor except for the 3-point hitch. After I explained what the problem was, he said it was hard to believe a company as big and well-respected as Kubota would let something like this go on for so long.

After talking with the local Kubota service manager again a week or so ago, he told me that Kubota wasn't being very helpful at all where mine was concerned. He had been trying to get some information on how to fix the problem. As far as Kubota is concerned, there IS no problem.

Sean - I'll see what I can do. Its at my other house and I'm headed up there in about a week....for 10 days. I'll try and get a video and post it at a later time.
