How often have you changed your air filter? I have just been blowing mine out with compressed air. Richard
I find mine effective for at least two years, but that obviously depends upon local working conditions. Compressed air should only be used if you're able to blow from the inside out (same with a radiator). Otherwise you just drive the grit farther into the paper. Usually I just tap mine on a tire to shake off the big stuff, then look through the hole to see if sunlight still makes it through the paper. If it doesn't, the filter gets changed. It usually took over two years to get that dirty, so now I simply change them every other fall.

Ain't none, it's 80x80 brass mesh. I buy it in bulk and make replacements myself. But regardless of the form it takes, 80 microns is 80 microns
Greg -- it would be great to see pictures of the process of making spin on filters from bulk screening -- sounds like a great way to save $20:rolleyes:

Where did you get the idea that I have spin-on hydraulic filters? KAMA and TaiShan (and Foton) use 80 micron mesh-wrapped inline filter cartridges. It's not too hard to guess what motivated your suggestion. But if you're truly interested, I've got an uninstalled spare that I can photograph.

Just as 80 micron is 80 micron, filtration is filtration. Why should it matter if it's spin-on or cannister? The only point I was trying to make is that the 80 micron supply side hydraulic filtration on my current two tractors seems to work just fine with cold AW32

Just curious if you had your choice between oil bath or paper air filter. What would it be?

Personal choice? Paper. I've had incidental experience with the oil bath type on old Fords, and found them just too messy

Greg --my suggestion was motivated by the fact that the OP wanted a hydraulic filter cross reference that I am pretty sure is a spin on and I am pretty sure would be very hard to make from screen JMHO:eek:
