Yep, mine runs a 5' just fine. Watch your temps and keep the radiator clean. I made a mesh cover out of window screen that keeps the crap out of the radiator and makes clearing the debris out in the field a piece of cake...

I bought my tractor used, and am still finding my way around. I have a button on the dash of my tractor that I can find no use for. It is a 1/2" silver push button, it is mounted just above the horn button.

I answered my own question, the button I cannot account for appears to be an after market addition, it is wired to the glow plugs. The multi position ignition switch, no longer has a auto return function from the "H" , "ST" positions.

The other thing I learned while "under the hood", was that all of my glow plugs have failed. Anyone have a "genaric" part number, or is the only option to order Chinese replacements.

The only source for glow plugs is a dealer - no generic available. Check with Tommy at Affordable Tractor Sales for replacements.

I have done some additional research and it appears that there are some substitutes. The NGK 1229, Bosch 80015 and the Beck_Arnley 176-1042.

I will do that. The previous owner, was using the NGK glow plugs for several years.

I have encountered a different problem, sometimes when I try to start the tractor, the starter spinns but it is not engaging the flywheel, this sounds a bit like the clutch in the starter is slipping or has failed. Any opinions?
