John Deer snow blower

I am looking into a JD model 49 Snow Blower.

I've been told there is a hydraulic driven and belt driven version.

I would like to know if there is any advantage of one style over the other.

What are you mounting the blower on?

A model 49 is only belt driven it fits the 300 series John Deeres I have one on my 317. People have put hydraulic motors on to rotate the chute though and you will need a machine with two hydraulic levers to be able to work it.
