I would have mentioned the Mx5100 like another poster, but I didnt think HST was an option on that???

They are offered in HST.

The resale value will more than make up for the $4k. Go for the Deere.

But resale value is only a consideration if you expect to trade / sell it in the foreseeable future.

And if you finance that extra $4K at anything other than 0% interest, then you will be paying extra money today for something increased resale value you MIGHT realize in the future.

I can't get past the made in Korea thing (call me old fashion) but I love the tractor. It seems to be built like a tank, all metal when plastic would do, controls are laid out nice, roomy operators station.

Actually Mahindra is Indian, not South Korea. Actually many times the buyer's of an IH overseas was buying a Mahindra with a different name "painted" on it.

I bought a Mahindra Max 25 a month or so ago, other than a build flaw, it has been a champ. I agree that if you have no plans to sell it in the future, the green paint doesn't matter.

Just want you to get the best for your money. If you want the tractor for resale if needed go for the JD. If you want a tool that you want to use for a long time, I don't think you can go wrong with a Mahindra.

I bought a 2012 Mahindra 4010 4wd with FEL last October I paid $20,500, I love it the one thing is when I had the forks on
To pickup my 6' rotary cutter ( Fred cain) it was light on the back side you will need a ballast

Mahindra Tractor is a part of Mahindra and Mahindra, which is a giant multinational conglomerate. So the company isn't going anywhere, if anything they will probably expand their US presence. They have been trying to sell cars here for a while and will probably eventually get in.

So the company isn't going anywhere, and your dealer will probably be just fine. They sell more tractors than anyone in the world, but India, China, and the rest of Asia have a different standard for what they expect than the US consumer.

The $ for the JD seems high. How much is the back blade and brush hog? I pd $23,250 for my 3320 open station ehydro with R4's last October without any attachments. I'm in NY, so the price you got in MI might be ok.....

I had a kubota b 6100 dt, it was only a 14 hp. tractor. I had a 5 ' tiller for it and a 5' rear blade and landscape rake. You will be surprised what those diesel tractors will do. That tractor did everything I asked and more. Wish I would have kept it every time I cut my grass with my lawn tractor. Six ft. implements would not be to big for the mahindra or deere by any means. I loved my Kubota the only reason I sold it is it didn't have power steering, and I have a torn rotator cuff.
