well the tractor left today to go back to dealer to fix a minor issue with the mmm lift hitting the frame. No big deal but dealer wanted to fix asap. Also the driver door seal not sealing at the bottom. Hope the door seal is takin care of. From what the sales brochure says, its supposed to be 100 percent seals to not let any allergens or dust in. Im just used to buying new vehicles and the dealer coming back with issues saying "its a normal condition". The deck problem is obvious so i know that will get fixed. Wont miss the tractor becuase im still waiting for the feilds to dry up so i can do some real playing. I have taken out a few times in the upper feild at late night hours with a couple of beers. Dont worry, i was in creeper gear with some old country playing hahah, I also was smoking my electronic ciggarette becuase i just quit smoking real cigarettes a month ago. I love the cab and cant wait to mow for the first time in my life

Hiya Shortthrow,

Can you post some pictures of the rear wiper and washer fluid container? Also, can you provide some comments on how well it works and if it hinders rear visability?

Thanks,

Tom

I have a 4720 John Deere with the cab w/ 400CX loader & 485 Backhoe and it has the bottom exhaust on it. After digging a ditch 8 foot X 400 foot I can now tell you why it is better having the exhaust coming out the top.

I was digging the ditch and my wife was in the ditch running the level. After a while she started acting goofy and not being able to function. Well as some of you might have already guess the exhaust blowing out the front bottom of the tractor was blowing right into the ditch the carbonmonoxide just about killed her.

The moral to this story is if you want to bump off the wife just put her in the ditch with the bottom blow exhaust, but if she is a keeper buy a tractor with the vertical exhaust????

Also the other reason you would want to purchase a tractor with a vertical exhaust is because if you are working in tall dry fields the exhause will not start a fire???????

Thats all i have to say about that,
Critical Bill

you definetly have a rear window seal problem and think your dealer will repair it when it's in. Mine is a 3320, and to me a top of the line toy I own. I enjoy mine almost every day if not for one thing I find another.

When the seals are right you have to slam the door pretty hard to close them tight. That is how good the seal is. I usually leave my back window unlatched so the doors close easier! Cool and quite enough to mow all day. You will love it!

Shortthrow- Enjoy-very nice. Someone posted an issue they had with rear seal. My 4720 is very tight-all the way around-such that there is enough cab compression you really have to slam the door. Get it right while the ball is in their court.

PS 3320 and 4720-both under exhaust- only advantage is one less thing to worry about getting snagged when I'm in the woods pulling logs. Then again might be cheaper if a branch whacked a vertical exhaust rather than that glass!

You are a hard case, electronic cigarette. I looked at them but then I don't want to quit smoking. I gave up booze 30 years ago. Cancer sticks are all I have left......:)

3 places I don't smoke. In the house, in my new Caddy and in the tractors.

the tractor has been at the dealer for a week now. i was told that there is indeed a problem and john deere has them taking all kinds of pictures. They (john deere) are talking about having to replace the whole cab. The dealer where mine was ordered and delivered had another 3520 cab tractor came in about the same time with the seal issues. Looks like there may have been a issue with a whole run of tractor cabs goin down the assembly line. Just my luck. What a crock of chit:confused:
