Another go around with the hydraulic oil and filter. @ Near twenty dollars a gallon I hope there is magic in the Hy - Gard transmission oil. I guess if it moves things correctly it is a must. The trouble is justifying a $35.25 filter Kind of grinds on my assumption of '' being held up without a metallic object ''. For a spin on filter which resembles a five dollar Fram, it does not look that special. I should cut one open to see the secrets involved. I bet it is the same tin / paper filter with JD colors.
For the front axle I assume SAE 80 - 90 is adequate. This has never been changed since new.
