I think you did good. I didn't get the loader, bale spear, hood guard, or radio. I did get the air cushion seat and 3rd SCV. My price was $33.7K.

So you got a loader, bale spear, hood hard, and radio for $4950 if I adjust for the seat and SCV to get an apples to apples comparison.

Now you just have to wait until May :( :D

True enough, but I bought it to aid in my haying to run the tedder and rake, so right about the time I will need it.

Wish I could play with it though, but I'm supposed to be more mature about these things at my age.

Terry

You're never too old to have a wonderful childhood!;)

Congratulations on the 4520 CAB whether for work or play.

That was a good price as equipped. I would have added six rear weights, diverter valve, topntilt and IMatch. I have been very satisfied with mine.:D

With filled tires you should be okay, for heavy loads you can use an implement on the rear if needed.

You should consider the extendable drag links - you will love them.

Also - I added the air ride seat since we using it for hay raking.

The pricing looks good.

Looks like a good price from what I have seen tossed around on the forums.

ddivinia: Exactly what are extendable drag links. I did not notice them as an available option.

Nuru:
Thanks for your comment. Always worry about missing the price level.

tconners,
Darin D. is referring to the telescopic links, the end of the lower three point hitch arms slideout of a socket and move to allow easier hitching up to implements. When you back up they reseat themselves and lock in place. I have them myself and consider it a must have option, I would have said something before but missed the fact it wasn't on your option list.

I have those on my 5603...love em. I wish I had mentioned something to my salesman. I really did not find them to be an option.

I think I'll call him now and see if he can change the order.

Glad somebody mentioned it. Thanks.

Does it come with rear remotes or will you need them?

This would be a simple accessory add on, You would get the telescopic draft arms in a box, remove the standard arms and replace with the upgraded arms, save the standard ones in case one gets bent or breaks.

Gentlemen, thanks so much for pointing out to me that the telescoping arms were available on this model. I searched the options and found them, but can't imagine how I missed them when discussing the options with my dealer.

My dealer does these as a dealer installed item and they will exchange them when they receive the tractor.

Glad you guys are smarter than me.

No problem - you wont want to save the old ones because you will never want to use them after you have the telescopic ones.

tconners, ddivinia,

Considering the fact that the arms are installed with clips similar to the implement end I don't see this as needed to be a dealer installed item. You paid for the first standard set that came with the tractor and you are now paying for the new telescopic arms. Much better for you to keep both sets of arms. If these arms had no value the dealer would not want them.

I agree with Darin that you will prefer the new arms features enough that you will likely not need the standard arms. If you ever needed them it is better to have them, and considering that using an IMatch setup the standard arms work great. If I am not mistaken, Darin did not care for the IMatch setup and I would hazard to guess he uses the telescopic link feature routinely. I on the otherhand use IMatch extensively and also have the telescopic links too, this enables me to easily hookup the odd implement I may aquire until I have a chance to do the IMatch conversion.

Backing up a 1250 lb boxblade behind either of my tractors it is good to know I have a spare set of arms available.

With imatch - not sure it is worth the extra money for the arms. I had imatch and got rid of it. It was too much of a hassle once I discovered the extendable links.

In answer to some of the questions above, I did get one set of remotes which it comes with as a standard. I was going to get two, but found out that to add the second set required the addition of a diverter valve which increased the cost by another $1200 or so and decided I did not need to do that as I was only adding it as in "in case I need it in the future".

This, I was told, is also a dealer added item, so I could get it anytime I needed it for that same price.

Curiously, my dealer seems to like to add things themselves, this diverter and the telescoping links being examples.

I have a similar device to Imatch from Tractor supply shown here Quick Hitch, Cat. 1 - 0267563 | Tractor Supply Company

I tried to use it on some of my equipment and found that my 3 point hitch's on some of my items are not exactly standard. For example my mower (bush hog type) has an upper link connection point that comes nowhere close to what is required for the Quick Hitch, and so it became a nuisance and it was taken off and I have not used it in a couple of years.

Maybe now that I have this tractor, I will modify those devices so the quick hitch can be used again. I like the idea, but my equipment made it impractical.
