I'm not sure EXACTLY what you are asking. but even though all, (at least the 3TXX engines), were built by Yanmar there are very few parts similarities, only similar horse power, weight, length, etc.

Norm,

You said that there are very few parts similarities.... Would any of the engine parts swap back and forth? I only ask because that picture of the 750 is identical to my 1610D except the paint color and Ive always thought about just walking into JD and saying I need parts for a 750 and using them on my tractor..... I take it that wont work??

Justin

Better clarify my comment.....Im all about supporting Yanmar parts dealers, just thought in a tractor emergency (Breaking down on saturday when I need it) type situation

I imagine there are some, but I suspect only a parts dealer, (JD or Yanmar), would know exactly what they are.

jlinn1, The john deere 750 has a 3t80uj engine, 78.2 ci, 1281 cc. I think your 1610 has a 3t75u engine, don't know cubic inch. My 2002 has a 3t80u-nap, I wish I knew just what the difference is in the letters at the end.

I think I read an article that the YM2500 is the same tractor as the JD 850. Looking at photos of both they seem to be the same machine.

I believe 1281 cubic centimeters = 78.174 cubic inches. The 3t75u engine I do not know cubic centimeters or cubic inches. The suffix letters is what I wonder about.

Look at this! it is from my 1610D.

The 3T75U in the Yanmar has 954 ccm. If you have a John Deere with a yanmar Engine there is a "J" behind.

i dont think the letters at the end of the engine model is the engine bore in MM's. Maybe the last number ie. 80 is the bore in mm's

You're right...I transposed letters to numbers so, whoops. The last two numbers ARE bore size.
