Actually, yes. With an economy as large as Italy and 38 million people, California alone is the equal of all but the largest European nations. :)
Our own laws? We call that States Rights. I hear that is getting popular in the rest of this country too. :DI think that is the only realistic choice available. Yanmar is an admirable tractor, but it simply doesn't fit German traffic laws.Different places, different tastes. It would be boring if everybody all had to live exactly the same.

California, not trying to get into an argument, but why would you want to have your state government telling you that you cant own something that is leagal by the feds and all other states? Like In the case of a handgun magizine. I guess if you want to have cars as a state different from the rest of the US that is your choice, but if you are not allowed to vote on these things i have a problem with that. Just based on gun restrictions alone i dont think i would want to live in your state, not to mention all the auto restrictions.

Maybe but a JD 855 is just as good as a yannie and apparently this contry already recognizes them as a tractor?:confused2:

@ CarDoc:

For example: We are writing the year 1984. You buy a new John Deere 750 and now you want to have a FEL on it. From which kind of information source do you know how much to load sth. your front axle? And if your front axle is broken within the warranty your dealer say it was OK to put 2Ton into the FEL, because he do not know how much you can stress your axle!?!?

And therefore John Deere must change your axle on warranty?????

I think if it is no gray market tractor there must be some data from the Deere and maybe someone have this data and can compare them?!

Stefan

I found out a 750 took a JD 70 loader the technical manual is part # TM1593 from JD.

As far as what brake capacity and axle weights are concerned I would imagine thats JD factory specs and probably not a field service item a dealer would be checking if someone brought in a tractor with the proper loader and a broken front axle.

They would probably just fix the tractor unless the loader bucket was bent out of shape but that's just a guess having dealt with automotive warranties for years. hth somewhat

I have that tech manual and there isn't a single piece of useful information in it for this discussion.

The car smog standards are different because we were the first to reach overload on air pollution. Not just stuff scientists notice, air quality so bad that kids have to be kept in at recess. I used to commute to Los Angeles near weekly in my job and getting off the plane there I thought 'I can't breathe this stuff!' It was just like when you use too much bleach cleaning the shower, you know it is harming you and your immediate instinct is to escape to fresh air, but there was no way to escape it when the whole region was like that. Californians pressured their politicians, not the other way around, to "Do Something - This Is Killing Our Kids!!!" So the politicians finally after much prodding from the voters, wrote the nation's first car pollution rules. It worked, the air is nice now. This isn't oppressive 'Big Brother' government like some would have you believe. It is the politicians here responding to the demands of the majority. That's the way it supposed to work!

Similarly, you guys apparently need a gun right at hand with a big magazine to be safe where you live. Nobody I know has that need; the only time weapons come to our attention is when some idiot kid kills another. So the pressure on the politicians from the majority is again "Do Something!!" to stop the murders. Like I said, different places are different and put different pressures on their politicians. (Yes I own firearms :)).

I'm not saying one culture is better, just different, and it works better when everybody lives where they feel comfortable.

Yes this country knows John Deere, we have one plant where John Deere tractors build in Mannheim.
But if you compare prices on the German with the US John Deere Website you must get crazy.

And to the Rest: you are all right in some ways. But I am like a little spoiled child, if there is something in my mind.... that was the same when all my friends said: "what do you want to do with that tires on this little tractor".
but when I was finished with the conversion, all of them said that they like it.

The next I will do is ask my local John Deere dealer if he got some specs from a Johnnie which is similar to my Yanni. After that I contact my TUeV-guy again to legalize it.
