I would guess it's true with Yanmar out with their own compact loaders. I saw a couple of pics in a trade magazine. Looks nice but time will tell.

I went back on the press releases for Yanmar on their website and found this from 2007...

New Joint Venture Company with MTD of the United States

Yanmar Agricultural Equipment Co., Ltd. has established a joint venture company with Cub Cadet of the United States.? The new company will commence North American sales of Compact Utility Tractors (CUT) in October this year.

CUT痴 are small tractors in the sub-50hp range used in such jobs as domestic lawn mowing and light construction work in residential areas.? The market has expanded in recent years and has been attracting the increasing attention of both U.S. and foreign manufacturers.

Yanmar痴 base tractor business in North America until now has consisted of OEM supply to John Deere, the world痴 largest manufacturer of agricultural equipment.? While maintaining this OEM business, Yanmar also plans to develop Yanmar brand products that respond directly to user demands and are perfectly matched to the North American markets for sale through the new company.

Yanmar is a late arrival in this CUT market but brings to the joint venture a wealth of experience in small tractor technology.? By utilizing Cub Cadet痴 extensive sales network for these products, together with the high brand value of both companies, we are aiming to secure a firm market position.

Outline of the New Joint Venture:

Company name: C.U.T. Supply Company LLC
Address: 614 Liverpool Drive, Valley City, Ohio 44280
President: Masashi Shimo (from Yanmar Agricultural Equipment Co., Ltd.)
Date of Establishment: 1st November, 2006
Start of Operations: March 2007 (Full sales activity scheduled to start in October)
Business: Sale of sub-50hp CUT, general marketing etc.
Product Brand: Cub Cadet YANMAR (Co-brand)

And one more time. IT'S NOT THE MANUFACTURERS THEY BUY FROM. It's the tolerances they dictate to those manufacturers!

The tire companies do make some tires for specific needs by manufacturers. Normally at a higher price! We see tires out of round all the time as well as different dimensions with many differerent colors of rims!
Different plants, different days, different blends. Sorry but it's not Kubotas fault, Probably at best quality control at the plant. Also could be the rim manufacturer that they might be varying a bit as well. Some times it takes some use or driving to get rid of irreguarities.

Have seen it in all sizes as well as all types of tires.

Rob, I think it might have something to do with obama and his chicago history if we look into it a little deeper.

After renting an Airman (Japanese) 185 CFM diesel powered towable compressor today; maybe Deere should look into partnering with Nissan for CUT and SCUT engines.

That 40HP PDS185S compressor was the quietest unit I've ever rented. In the past I've rented Deere powered Sullair compressors and they are quite loud. How good the Nissan engine is over the long term is something I don't know. I'll give Airman credit for what appeared to be a substantial muffler and sound deadening panels inside the engine compartment. I put 4.4-hours on it today and filled the tank with 2.399-gallons of diesel. I seem to recall the Deere powered Sullair's were harder on fuel.

Heck no, I have a John Deere and Kubota, not sure what I will get when these wear out, only considerations will be: quality, cost, dealer network and "fit".

Also looked up your tractor and it looks nice; enjoy.

Yanmar has an excellent track record. They're the ones responsible for the engine and powertrains on john Deere tractors. For 30+ years they've built them for Deere. If you like the JD 790 and JD 990, then you like yanmar. Nobody needs to wait and see how good they are. They have been good, actually great! Personally, I'd rather give credit to the boys who built it. Instead of the green paint middle men.

I think fieldnforest overlooked the date of that last post. In any event, I agree. 4-5 years have past since the first Yellow/Black Yanmars were released and you haven't heard about many troubles with them! :)
