John Deere Stabilizer/sway bar question.

It's not normal for sway bar brackets be attached to draft links 180° opposite. As I previously stated RH sway bar bracket needs to have nut loosened & bracket rotated 180° so both sway bar brackets are attached the same way on each draft arm then nut tightened. Notice green area on mounting brackets in photo. This falls under correct geometry of sway bar attaching parts!!!!!!!!!

Ayep!! If you want symmetry, you have make things symmetrical side to side.

Tx Jim, I didn't see what you meant - the first time you said it - I sure do see what you meant now though! You are correct for sure, that bracket being 180 out will cause exactly the problem the OP is having. Thanks for reshowing these pics, cleared up any confusion I had!

You're welcome.
I'm glad you realized what I was stating was correct.

If you will attach both LH & RH sway bar brackets to draft link in identical methods then I think your tractors sway bars will be identical length when implements are centered behind your tractor. Note differences of mounting of brackets orientations in each photo below. Loosen nut on RH draft link, pull pin then separate telescoping sway bar components & rotate sway bar bracket 180° correctly reassemble telescoping sway bar then retighten nut. I think after the alterations I suggested your sway bars will be same length.
Hey everyone, thanks for the quick replies that I failed to follow up with in the same quick manner. While I did find the solution to my problem after reading TX Jim's reply. Wanna talk about feeling dumb as a bag of hammers. I somehow never noticed the two were different. All is straight now. I also figured out a little better solution to using the factory JD pins.... cheap 7/16" D rings. I had to open them up a tickle, but these work much better than the clevis pins. A 7/16" locking pin would probably work good if I could find a stubby version of one. Anyway, I had the D rings laying around, so the free factor made them perfect.

After you have made the sway bar brackets symmetrical please take a picture to confirm this was the problem.
After swapping one of the brackets to match the other.
