John Deere US built?

I'm sure that it isn't even close to 100% american made and mfg. cactus. What I'm saying is that a good portion of it is american made. I don't think there is another tractor mfg. out there that comes even close to being american made or mfg. here.

The only tractors that I know of that are 100% made and mfg. in the US are the 7000, 8000, and 9000 series tractors.

The good news is that the x-series non-diesels are built at Horicon Works. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Guess I am missing something. If they are just assembled in GA then where do they build them? Guess if I were to put a grapple together with parts from wherever I could find, I would be wrong in saying I built it myself, as I didn't make the steel and the paint and everything else on site. Did I build it or did I assemble it, or did I assemble it while building it??? hmmmm.....my 2cents

turbo36,
I have done the NORBA at Traverse City in the distant past, no racing/riding there since that time (mid 1990's).

</font><font color="blue" class="small">( <font color="blue"> Cactus,
You are wrong about most of the 4000 series. The new 20 series is built in the US with a Deere engine, drivetrain, and most of the parts. The older 4000 series were just assembled here.

Hmmmm /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

What part of those replies dont you understand.

If I were to offer you a completely designed, manufactured in, from raw materials from and assembled in the continental United States but filled with crankcase oil refined in but from middle eastern crude, would that not be good enough to call it an american made tractor?

Cowboydoc jumped on you a little too hard but what is your point here?
