I was on craigslist and found a LT 155 for $300. It needs deck work and a new hood. Would it be worth fixing for that price since all the LTs ive seen are $1500-2000.

A new deck and hood are going to be pricey. Unless you can find another one with a bad engine or something, I'd say stay away. My concern would be with the overall condition. How was this mower treated to cause both hood and deck damage. What other unseen damage has been created by said abuse/neglect?

Define deck work? Does it have a hydro transmission? Belts pulleys? Engine smoke? tires? There are lots of things to think about. Look it over good.
