I changed mine after I broke one of the balls off. New ones are metal.
I posted, with pics, on how to take off and reinstall.
Yeah I think it was your post I saw about them, good pictures.
Thanks

Quick update, well not real quick, but found these -- 13mm-- Buy Online 304 Stainless Steel Ball Studs - Maxum Hardware, seems this will work and getting closer to the right price too.
Still looking but this seems to be a top contender, nephew says he has some at his shop where he keeps his Pro Stock car, so will wait till he is in town and see what he has.
Seems these are for gas springs or lift gate support gas filled struts/shocks.

Wow you sure did want to fix this for the right price.
Hope it works out for you.

Search this site for the following Control Cable Conundrum.
It has a number of pictures and instructions of how I changed mine.
Thanks, found the parts at a local auto parts store (NAPA) and am going to do the deed today.
Will look at your pics, thanks for the heads up.
Cost me $9.71 for the parts, NAPA # 735-1990

So latest, the parts did work. I had to add shims in the cinematic head, the balls were slightly smaller than the original, other than that it all worked out, nice and tight joystick functions. The metal on the Kioti parts was soft and easy to drill and tap.

Here are some pics for future reference, for someone. I looked for the stainless steel shim stock but could not find until after the unit was back together. Wife found a pipe that I used, if it wears out will use the SS shim stock next time. I did replace all 3, they all look the same.
