Just A Normal Day
Have agreed to take a neighbor lady to town ( Rather did ditch with pick & shovel ) to pick up her repaired washing machine and some AM Track tickets. Leave at 8 AM back by 11. Yeah right.
Went to take a shower, out of propane, no hot water. Cell phone almost dead, use it up making sure she will be ready. Get to the little bit of pavement down by the highway, truck not driving right. Sure enough right front tire is almost flat. 3 Miles back to the house, air up tire, can't find anything wrong with it. But load my extra spare tire. Both spares been sitting for about 2 years, both low. Clip on chucks will not hold on my rims, need new fitting on air hose. Get all three tires aired up.
Got to repair shop, washing machine repair guy not there. OK lets go get the tickets, truck driving funny again. Yep tire almost flat again. I carry 3 hydraulic jacks, first jack does not work, jack #2 pump piston rusted solid, #3 works.
Repair guy calls her, washer fixed & he's back. Washing machine had not been checked out and part of it still not working. Needs a new transmission take about ｽ hour.
Travel agency about 6 miles away, go after tickets. Blue building the man says, building green & white, no travel agency sign. Look for the blue building, call him, its the green one. No travel Agency sign. Small problem, he does not sell AM Track tickets. She had told him that's what she wanted.
Back to repair shop, machine works and he demo's it. Another ｽ hour.
Back around 2:30. At least I had some help unloading washing machine.
About 120 miles as a favor. More fun than I really wanted to have.
