Had a racing cart with 2 on it. Total junk. Had a Stihl 007 (I think) that vapor locked too.
Any old pics of the kart?

I help my son out in his 212cc stock appearing kart. They race on dirt.

Last year was doing a head for a motor I sold a 83cc chainsaw for. I got took as the motor, was run to death and needed a complete rebuild.

We got 2 motors and mine is the faster built up one. His same but less of a build that can keep on going.

We are very very very low budget compared to who he races against.

Long gone, no pics, not missed. Sorry. Those yellow motors were vapor lockers too. The Poulan I had was the big one with a bucking bar on it. (whip bar). I spent more time on the recoil than running it. I've sold more saws than I kept it seems like and I always loose my butt on them.

I sure like the Echo 211 top handle I just got though I had to remove the cat insert prior to using it. Guess that will be the norm today. Nice saw, plenty of suds and 1/2 the price of my smashed Stihl. Not going there. My stupidity and a tractor tire and a quick 700 bucks. Won't happen again.

I need to fab up bucking spikes for the Echo. Don't like getting up against the case with limbs. I realize I'll loose some bar length but it is a pruning saw. Even comes with a greaseable sprocket nose and drive sprocket oiler so no mess when idling. Adjustable too. Recommended by me.

I know 2511 has a oem spike you can get. But dont you have the 271?
Never looked if they offered one for that one.

I had 1 Poulan and that was enough. Vapor locking POS.
What are the symptoms if a saw vapor locks, and how do you Dx it? I have a tempermental Poulan on the self, here.

The carb extension is too close to the cylinder so the heat transfer causes the mix to vaporize in the carb bowl and no start. Short stub equates to excessive heat transfer. I don't know of any easy fix except sell it. I used to call mine a 'Polish Chainsaw'. The starter rope don't make for a good saw. Hard on your hand as well.....lol

Not sure. I have not seen one yet and I can plasma cut one pretty quick. Been looking and no one has one. I may run a few and offer them on Flea Bay. I do actually. I'm, kind of **** about getting up against the case with limbs. In fact, I like to keep everything clean and tidy. Like my 090 and 75, just as pristine as when I bought them over 40 years ago (minus some paint chips of course). You have to foot both of them or stretch your fingers....

It is a very light saw too. Fully dressed, under 6.5 pounds.

Only thing I don't like is the inertia brake and I may remove it. I'm used to no brake anyway. Too me, a brake is like a cat. Not required if you have sense.

I showed the 271 too. Same as 2511.

They think they are gold. Time to make one like you said.

Maybe more than one copy. Just a matter of setting it up on the table and cutting them. 5 cents in material and a few seconds cut time. I'll post one up when done.
