Looking at 271T IPL they show inside but I dont know how it would be being made like it is. GL and show us what you come up with.

2511 IPL shows another one can be used on case inner using 2 fasteners like normal.

I have to say, removing the cat insert really woke it up and I see the heat from it can actually melt the outer shield too. I suspect in the near future, everything will have cats.

Cannot get over how light it is. I may have to sell a few Stihl's and get some more Echo's....lol

271T should be around 6.6lbs PHO 26.9cc.

The little 2511T is lighter. 5.2lbs 25cc

I had a little stihl 150T 23.6cc that was light. 5.7lbs. Needed the muffler mod big time too. No cat just small outlet.
Loved the 1/4" micro chain set up they used for limbing.

JC 2500T 25.4cc 6.6lbs aka Zenoah 2500 also done for husky and was that light.

Those saws have their places.

Was made back in 1980-1993. So I would hope they are updated alot in last 30-40 years.

Echo was starting to get with it on top handles with these. It was a good one but still sort of old school.

Grey echo was like 33.4cc.

Shoot almost forgot about the solo 637 NE which was bigger cc then the OE 637. I really liked that saw.

Dang forgot about the cant kill it poulan 2000 33cc bought new in 94. Gave to dad to replace that pos mac TH. She came back rough after years of farm use. But cleaned up and back in the shelf for when needed.

Shoot I will throw these in there too 200T 338's OE and NE, etc etc. Then my clone G111T copy of 200T

Owned a bunch of TH's over the years. Folks like them more then me so always rotating saws.

Wasn't 'Solo' on Man from Uncle? I started a thread about canned gas but got no play so yesterday I bought a gallon of Trufuel 50-1 and a can of Red Armor 50-1 and interestingly, they both look and smell the same right down to the solution color. Wonder if they are the same or not?

The TF is cheaper than the Red Armor by a few bucks.

Non e-gas is tough here and very expensive too.
