Hadn’t seen this 60cc poulan 3500 since April 2017. Sold it to local.
Not bad 6 years before he needed checked.
Typical water in mix and carb fastener loose.
Ready to go back to work.

Echo black oem line still like new even in the crap gas he runs. 6 years now

I'll post this again here. Easy cheap test. Came from a pilot.

I just read something on how to test pure gas quickly without using water etc.
Food coloring drop. If E-free it don’t start to dissolve. Stays solid beads after stirring.
If it has ethanol in it it starts to dissolve after stirring etc.
I just tried it with e-free and ethanol gas. If true it does as I read. 😳😎

Pics for proof.

((((((((It is simple to test for ethanol. Here is how the pilots can do it:

Recently a member of the Aviation Fuel Club, Gilbert Pierce of Germantown, Tenn., sent us the description of how he tests for ethanol using a few drops of ordinary food coloring:

“While driving 20 miles into Mississippi to get ethanol-free gasoline for my airplane I was contemplating what must be in the blue dye that is in the Quick Check Solution kit. It occurred to me that what ever it was had to be water soluble so it would mix with the ethanol. I always check the suppliers of ethanol-free fuel before pumping any gas as I have been lied to about it. Anyway, the test kit that you add water to is a hassle and takes a few minutes to settle out. The blue Fuel-Check works great but is expensive. When I got home I got my wife’s red, blue and green food coloring out; it’s water soluble. A quick check with pint jars of ethanol-free fuel and adulterated fuel indicated that a drop of any color food coloring will dissolve and turn the adulterated fuel the same color as the food coloring. Putting a drop of food coloring in pure gasoline, the drop just goes to the bottom of the sample and rolls around there as little globules. Now I just carry a bottle of inexpensive and readily obtainable food coloring and a quart glass jar – it’s easier to get a fuel sample into – and have an instant indication of ethanol free fuel or adulterated fuel.”

Remember, always test every batch of gasoline purchased at any location other than an airport — “Let the buyer beware” ! ))))))))

Just a heads up. Lot of dealers getting ope in for start issues with new can of trufuel. Turns out the canned trufuel is bad. Several dealers reporting seeing this.

Just so you know just because you buy canned trufuel it can be bad. Swap in mix you did and see if they will start then.

One dealer = Don’t use Tru-Fuel. I keep getting equipment in my shop and the only thing wrong with it is the Tru-Fuel is bad. This is new fresh Tru-Fuel. It’s like you get a bad batch or something. Buy ethanol free gas and put 2-cycle oil in it.

Two dealer = second the info about trufuel..hear alot of that in the industry from shops, other techs, oems, reps.

I'll stop there.

No issue here but then I prefer Echo Red Armor canned fuel anyway.

I looked for one of those July 4th being they had everything at $1.76 a gal. Closest one I could find was just over a hour away.

So I just keep buying my 90 rec local at the 2 stations on either side of me. It stays about $1 more a gal then 89 e gas cost.

It's more then this now. Last time was $4.99

You just up in the gallon/crestline area or am I mis-remembering?

There is a new sheetz at 61/71 exit (between Mt. Gilead and Sunbury). I'm about 15min away from there but go by that area all the time

When going out west (for hunts), I always get a kick out of the 'C um and Go' gas stations. Even have a 'C um and Go' baseball hat.
