Happy for ya. I cannot justify 1500+ bucks for a Silvey. I'm getting the tools for free which is even better.

I looked at your 'group' but I don't do Farcebook.

Glad I dont shop where you do. I wouldnt pay that either.

When I was done using it. I sold it for what I had in it. $550 ready to go with extras.

The Stihl USG round grinder is the money maker in the back ground on the wall on right. .

Today's prices versus what you paid years back are 2 different things. Check Bailey's price for a new unit.

I just bought a pack of nylon trimmer blades for my FS66 brush trimmer. Last time I bought them (online), they were 15 bucks for 3 dozen. This time, they were 15 bucks for a dozen and made in India, not Germany like the ones I bought some years back.

I also bought a Land Pride SG 24 3 point stump grinder a few months back. My cost was listed at 3 grand 5 years ago but now they are 5500. All about inflation and the worthless dollar.

Why I like Echo saws. While they have increased in price, they are nowhere near the cost of a comparable Stihl and no 'electronic' controlled carbs either, though Echo does sell a line of electric (battery powered saws and brush trimmers), none of which I would own. But then, no toaster cars here either....

I dont buy new. 🤯

Shop around and get great deals on used.

New Stihl USG is over $600. I have around $150 in my used one from a guy that quit doing his own chains when he got out of cutting.

Silvey round grinder was my 1st choice but couldnt find one back then. So settled for my 2nd choice a stihl usg round grinder.

Dad has a Tecomec made in Italy, that seems would be a nice 3rd choice. TL136

Others I checked out seem so cheap compared.

I prefer not buying used as usually buying used, you inherit some one else's issues and candidly, I don't have the time for that. You like to fiddle with saws and stuff, I don't. Did buy one used tractor but I did my 'due diligence' before hand but it still came with issues that needed to be corrected.

People, only in rare instances, off items that are close to perfect, usually, they have issues which is why they are for sale in the first place. I do peruse Facebook Marketplace infrequently and I'm always amazed at what sellers are asking for what I consider junk.

The only exception to my rule is motor vehicles. I buy only late model off lease vehicles with the balance of the factory warranty on them so if there is an issue, I'm covered.

If you want to run stihl bars on your echo 7310. You can buy these adapters a guy I know makes or do like me and just make your own from what you have on hand.
