@hayden you own some sweet saws.

I owned several 262's alot of 346's and only 1 385.

Best running 262 I have had stock was the 1990 with K&S cylinder and 87 carb they came with. Later ones came with different cylinders and smaller 120 carbs
Even had a 262 race saw for 4ci class way back.

You got your bases covered.(y)

Got a lead on some Shindaiwa's on clearance; the 492 (believe it is similar to the Echo 4910) and a 600sx (similar to an Echo 620P), both with 20" bars. The 600sx is too much saw for me, I think. Will be looking at the 492 in the next couple of days.

I always forget about the Shin ones. Ya 492 = 4910 and the 491 was the lesser 490.

Right on the other.

Dealer here in Ohio still has the Shins. Also you can look at Home Depot and order a 4910 in stock still.

One thing I did notice. The plastic handle on the 490 4910 I can feel the vibration more then I can on the rubber coated metal handle on 501.

No clue why but wonder if plastic transfers more.

Picked up the Shindaiwa 600SX today. Also considered the 591 and 492 but settled on the 600SX. For testing, put in a little Shindaiwa Red Armor pre-mixed fuel at Ace and I started it up easily. Completed paperwork thereafter, brought it home, added bar/chain oil and ran it for a few mins to get it warmed up. It is very easy to start, but it is new. Now to procure some JASO FD, ISO-L-EGD rated 2 stroke oil and mix up a fresh batch of fuel with non ETOH gas. The 2 stroke Valvoline that I have been using in the Echo blower and CS-345 saw does not meet the required Echo 2 stroke oil specs.

I was down to 1 325 3/16 file and was caught off guard. I wanted to get 325 Mad Dog files to go with the others sizes I had. But being busy and didnt want to bother Ethan for 1 box.

I ordered a box of echo branded files that said made in Germany. So guessing Pferd.

Hoping they are a coarse file like Mad dog and save edge files.

Anyone know off hand if coarse? Anyone used?

Plus was only 16 shipped for a dozen and saved driving time back forth etc.

I had one good 325 file left and caught me off guard. Bought some echo files on a whim. Made in Germany and figure Pferd.

Save edge NLA for saws during 2020 and local didnt have mad dog in stock. I like a coarse file myself.

They are no save edge. Wont buy again but they did file the new version stihl 23RS. I just like coarse.

Never had mad dog in 325 yet. But will get those next time. Have mad dog in 5/32 11/64 13/64 7/32 and been happy with those. They remind me of save edge.

I won this mildly ported husqvarna 359 for Veterans day drawing of chainsaws being given away by Shawn B. in Arkansas. On Facebook group.

There was like 5 ported saws being given away to vets in the FB group.

My name was never drawn but won this out of default the last saw left.

How it worked if name drawn. You won this saw but can take another saw behind A B C D. Sort of like lets make a deal game show. I was last guy not picked and I got last saw left.

Corey the porter of the 359 is one of the trusted porters in my CRG FB too. He told me this saw was built mild per owners wanting a not real high psi work saw. So only about half the squish and base was removed compared to what was normally done. Per Corey.
