("Is it unusually easy to pull over?") The 550 pulls over like it always did, it's just that it started first with loosing rpm's, now it just starts and fast idles for a few seconds then stalls, I think there's something wrong with that expensive maintenance free auto tune. Very few saw shops near by now, I might call where I bought it this Sat. and see if he's still in business, since Apil 2013 this saw has always been a PITA. One plus about the Echo dealer, their near by and open til 5 on Sat.

See if your ECHO dealer will look at it. Don't most saw shops work on other makes?

I typically always use premium ethanol free (EF) mixed with Stihls Ultra oil. There are two places that sell the premium EF near me if you call 45minutes one direction or 1 hour the other way “near”. I found myself short of premium EF gas two weeks ago and mixed 1 gallon of regular EF since I did not have 2 hours to waste getting premium EF gas. I use regular EF gas in my gas generator, lawnmowers etc. so I had it around. My saws ran on it okay, but man they are harder to start with it. I was through one of the two places that sells the premium EF gas yesterday so I filled my 2.5 gallon jug and am back in business.

The Echo place is also a Kuboto tractor and few other things place, so I dont know if they'd have Husqvarna software to plug into a Husqvarna chainsaws. I was told that the auto tune carburetor cant be adjusted without the Husqvarna software, but I will ask.

I'm sorry. I did not know chainsaws had software now. YIKES!!!!

Stihl dealers often have the unit that resets M-tronics and runs diagnostics etc. It's probably the same for Huskys. With M-tronics there are some solenoids that can go bad, and there are methods to diagnose them.

There's also a way for the operator to reset the M-tronic. I don't know Huskys but there may be something similar for them.

Ok, here's a dealer showing the operator reset method: The chainsaw guy shop talk How to Reboot your Smart Saw Husqvarna 562 XP 555 T54XP Chainsaw - YouTube

Yours may not be running well enough to do this.

The project 445 70.7cc I used to test the 3 styles of worm gears in worked. Metal and Plastic worm gears from the early and later series.

Being that is over I made the 445 up my way today. Put the original style plastic worm gear in it and installed the other full wrap I bought. Put on a 24" 3/8 84dl oem bar that came on my first 415. Me likes after test cutting.
If you notice it dont have on the west coast big dawgs that are needed for a full wrap. The 415 fire dept saw had full wrap and smooth inner dawg for its uses. So I wanted this one set up like that.

71cc yellow and 83cc green both with full wraps. Like finding hens teeth for these now days.

What can you sell that old PP 445 for in Ohio?

I have this FarmPro 375 (61cc) that I recently refurbed. Runs great. About 1990 vintage, I believe, and it has manual
chain oiler only. I want $200 for it with limited 30d homeowner warranty. The older green Poulans from the 80s are made
better, IMO. But this is a lot of saw for the money.

I sold a PP375 for $150 PHO with wrong top cover and air filter cover.

I priced my 445 above and waited 24hrs with no response back. I then decided to keep it. I get the same for them as I do the 372xp.

Here is the 375 I sold for 150. I sold my 400 for 200. and a 3400 100. I just dont do this series. I prefer the 330 3450 3750 380 54cc 60cc series myself.

Before I give my 550xp it's last rights, I dropped it off at a small redneck Husqvarna fix it place this morning, a guy I work with gave me his ph number said if the saw can be fixed this guy can fix it, called last night when I got home, he said bring it over in the morning around 9 so's I did. You'd think this was a Redneck saw shop from the small sign out by the road, so small I went past it had to turn around, then pulled in to a drive way, old house trailer on left, an old discontinued trailer truck trailer on right that he works and sells a few saw from, I see a door way cut out of the side of it, the average chainsaw owner would've backed right out smoked it back home saying are you kidding me..........

As soon as I shut my Jeep off the guy came right out with a limp from what I don know. I say hey heres the 550xp I called about, told him two months ago the saw started loosing power, then last week it was just starting and stopping, ask if he could find out if it was worth fixing, he said that same he sells now for $630.00, I paid around $525.00 5 years ago. So he grab it, 3 pulls to start it up, ran for just a few seconds and stalled, he goes gezz that's a little loud on the inside ain't it, I thought to myself he has good hears, I go you know I thought that had a different sound myself and told him two weeks when I last ran it, it had a louder sound for a while but it still ran somewhat now it wont. He says you come back or call me Monday sometime I'll tell you exactly whats wrong and the cost of fixing it, so now the wait is on and keep rolling over in my mind how much is to much to fix a going on 6 year old saw, $200.00, 3, I'm not paying $400.00.

Then we chit chated about jonsered on how why they gave up their bigger saws, he got into it but went over my head then he also was saying that Husqvarna wants to get out of the the big box store chainsaw sales and go back to private dealers, I've heard myself that BBS have different quality, he was saying those stores was hurting Husqvarna's image.....

What is the best way to store your extra sawchain loops? I went to sharpen my loops today and a few were a little stiff, I assume from sap. No big deal but it did take me some extra time flexing links.
