I'm sure they're not the best saws out there, but I have two of them (both Craftsman branded, same thing just different options like chain break and such) and they run very well. I'm pretty sure one is newer as I think it has the secondary air induction thing above the carb (second throttle plate, kinda goofy). Got the one I've been using for $10 with a case but just the powerhead, got a bar and chain on amazon for $20, don't think I had to get into the carb but might have put a regulator diaphragm in it since most sitting 2 strokes need one... Most people consider them throw away saws since that's the same model that Harbor Freight carries now for $150ish, definitely not professional grade but fine for general homeowner...
Just picked up a Poulan 3400 and a couple of the small Craftsman 2400 saws, couldn't refuse the price, 3400 has the starter rope sticking out but that's usually an easy fix, one of the Craftsman saws is parts since it has zreo compression, got it for parts since I have like 6 of them now...
