High end aftermarket = cloned China parts. Just saying.

I'm not paying $600 for my alternator for car, truck etc at OEM. When I can go buy it for $100.

That is my point we all do it and you cant just pick what ground your going to stand firm on.
Actually it's not. Most is produced right here in the US. You're grasping at straws man!
No we all don't do it. You're just trying to make yourself feel better for doing it.

What ever helps you sleep at night thinking that. :ROFLMAO:

Father law and uncles retired GM. Friend engineer in GM. Friend retired Ford engineer.

Lot of OEM cars and truck parts not even made in US.

Why you think were are even building a chip factory here is Ohio right now. ;)

Lot the parts sourced from overseas. If you believe otherwise your living in a dream world.

So high end alternators, starters that are new just like I said.

Back to saws. Even if China, Germany, Sweden, Japan made.

Since there is no real made US saw anymore. Just assembled with domestic and foreign parts ones.

Somewhere in shop I have a NOS spring for 61 clutch. I bought it for a 415 475 clutch many years ago but switched it to newer 505 etc one.

Well when I got 61 I put it somewhere safe to replace this 61 spring. I searched 2 days for prob few hours and gave up.

I know I can cut old spring and heat to bend to reattach it. But that’s a last resort thing for me if had to. I know I will come across that dang spring someday now. 😂🤦‍♂️

So just updated this 61 to the newer style they went with later. Creep gone and works good.

More like the 372 design clutch.

Again, this is NOT about buying things from overseas or any other country. I will agree that it's difficult to buy anything made in the U.S. these days....This IS about buying STOLEN designs such as cloned chainsaws, or any other stolen designs. There is a very real difference....

Again I will say it, high end China made parts for our cars, trucks, boats etc etc is stolen designs too.

Sorry not paying 600 for OEM alternator when can buy for 100 at parts store. Starter same way 300 OEM. Solenoid for boat same way OEM 75.

Like said twist it anyway you like so you can sleep at night.

High end replacement parts not made in US. Heck OEM most times not even made in US. High end just better quality control parts made by China and other overseas counties.

That's simply not true. But we can end this conversation, it's obviously not getting anywhere. Have a great day!

Just so folks know. There is many US dealers selling these cloned saws too.

They dont seem to be hurting either as many saws they are selling either.

I even knew a couple stihl dealers that had cloned saws in their store. They couldnt get saws at the time and started stocking them.

US dealer feedback = I've been running the V-Modest version for a few weeks (videos on the Tube) and it does good. Definitely not the high end screamer my Echo is but it has way more low end torque. The throat in the carb looks smaller so that makes perfect sense. I also sell the KNK Power version which has a much bigger muffler but still doesn't rev real high. When it comes to actually cutting with them the torque seems to make up for the speed. They spin fast enough to keep the chain from chattering and you can lean into them without stalling the chain. I've got 1 of each out for porting and can't wait to see how they compare when i get them back.

I know the guy doing the porting and he is top notch. He did the 2511 for the dealer too.

This US dealer shows a little different rpm with his clone 2511 then what has been said by another.
40:1 right out of box. He stated it does just like his oem ones he takes out of the box.
Going under knife next for some porting.

Guess they are flying off the shelf at US dealers going by all the folks posting them now too.

Everything being bought from 2 USA dealers.

Not one to shy away from trying out clone saws.
Got my arm twisted this week.
Clone 2511.

Since we already know the pho dry weight. Like 2oz more due to extra bar stud and nut we figure.

I did this weight with 12” 3/8lp it came with and both tanks full.

Mine was only 10.8K out of box with bar chain on checking after test cutting.
So will retune after get some mix through it. If she likes it prob settle in the 12's somewhere. I like safe not on edge of max.

Getting the 12" 1/4" mini micro cutter 043 bar chain and spur drum set up for it now. All ready ordered.

Oh there is even a rear handle version now too ;). Also make that 5 top handle versions I have seen now.

What you see was 140 shipped to me from US dealer in state next to me.
The 12" 1/4" micro bar, chain, drum, bearing set is 50 shipped by US dealer I just ordered from 2 states away. .

To cool. The muffler is a hollow can with pipe already. Flows fine. Nothing going to be modded or added to this one.

I recall setting up Husky 444's just before I moved on in Jobs 1989, Tuning them to 12500, and I thought that was Nuts back then.

Hydro were the only takers of the Saw, but we never seen one come back.

By that time, the local Loggers were all 266XP or 034/064 saws. They thought the 444 was too small, but it would out cut a 266 in Softwood

I recall the 242 being around 15.5k. Then the OE 346 45cc 14.7k.

This new echo 501 I picked up says 13k-14k max in info. But I turned her down to a safe 12.8k if I recall right. I like saws to be hair fat enough to clear up in the cut. Not so fat they dont preform though.

Comparison of the clones. G111 200T 35cc - VM2511 2511T 25cc

Been running the G111 for years now. Missed my oem 200T. Clone cuts just like it. 😎

Got to love the clone 2511 mufflers. They got it right.
Empty can with pipe.

No modding or extra cost needed. Man they flow great.

I told guy in my CRG FB over weekend I was going to want a 12" 1/4" mini micro set up for this clone 2511. After I tested it with 3/8LP.

I wanted smoother pruning cuts for fruit trees etc. She is so smooth in the cuts. Everything I missed in my 150T when I sold it with that set up.

I figured order would get shipped today. Well much to my suprise USPS was handing it to me today. 😮😎👍

Sweeeeeeet and smooth as can be. 1/4 on 3/8LP off.

Oils like old school saws. Love that.

They took stihl bar design and made holes to fit echo. So no more drilling bars to fit echo's.

My Stihl MS151 is one of my favorite saws. I am always seeking it out to cut some little branch. I use it to limb all my pine trees after felling them. Lite and very fast.

A climber talked me out of my 150T. No biggie just a saw that can be replaced to me.

Clone 2511 weigh 2-4oz more then OEM weighed by 2 folks. We figure the extra bar stud and nut is part of that.

Selling like hotcakes at a social.

Per US dealer.

V-MODEST 2511 News and Rumors
First the rumors - stock in the US is getting very low with only around 30 saws left. It could be near the end of August before the next shipment arrives.
And the news is they will be offering the 1/4" setup option right from the factory! Also there will be a 14" option.
EDIT: The 14" is 3/8LP
It isn't quite clear to me if the 14" will be 3/8LP or 1/4" but the wording in the email from Julia makes me think it is the 1/4". I believe these two options will be part of the next shipment so any of you out there that are selling the Archer conversion kits (me included), don't get too stocked up. We may end up getting stuck with them and having our customer pool limited to only existing saw owners.

Whats on mine in micro mini now too 12".

Amazing the difference in weight alone of the bar, the chain and then both. 3/8LP and then 1/4" micro mini. So smooth for those pruning cuts.
