Still curious how far the OP is to the closest Kubota dealer.
I'm about 45 min.Still curious how far the OP is to the closest Kubota dealer.
Fear is a powerful emotion but I agree with your premise and also understand the OP'sOne has to wonder if the OP would have been happy with his purchase if the hour meter was working.
One need not wonder, for the query would produce a salubrious yes.One has to wonder if the OP would have been happy with his purchase if the hour meter was working.
My fear would have been been just too great to bet $30k sight unseen on a used machine regardless of the hours it had.Fear is a powerful emotion but I agree with your premise and also understand the OP's
concerns.
Put yourself in his situation and honestly tell me that this won't always be on your mind...forever and with every little issue that arises.
I spent 70k+ on two long distance machines this year. They actually turned out better than my one in purchase lol.My fear would have been been just too great to bet $30k sight unseen on a used machine regardless of the hours it had.
) but a very interesting and informative topic!
It's a pretty awesome tractor. It's a beast really. I spoke to a company that will make me custom wheels so I can get low and wide. Hopefully at least 60 inches of rubber on the ground in the rear and 30" or more in the front. I think it'll do what I need it to do and have power to spare.Other then the hour meter are you happy with the tractor..
I'm not risk adverse to a fault. But I also expect people to stand by their word and be honorable. My fear would have been been just too great to bet $30k sight unseen on a used machine regardless of the hours it had.

I bought a house, truck, guns, impliments, and all types of stuff like this.I spent 70k+ on two long distance machines this year. They actually turned out better than my one in purchase lol.
I did. I wrote what they said a few posts up. I think it got buried.Have you tried to contact them today?
Sounds like they'll do something. It needs hour meter/tach fixed & tire...maybe that will be settlement. Filters, oil if it wasn't serviced.I'm not risk adverse to a fault. But I also expect people to stand by their word and be honorable.
If you look towards the top; that was my suggested middle ground, maybe $500 credit towards service, the hour meter, and a $750 tire. It's not 100% perfect, but it saves our OP $2200 on transport fees, the dealer still has some profit on it, and the OP keeps what should be a good machine for decades. Don't know that it's a Win-Win, but probably fair.Sounds like they'll do something. It needs hour meter/tach fixed & tire...maybe that will be settlement. Filters, oil if it wasn't serviced.
Lots of good thoughts here (some not so good) but a very interesting and informative topic!
