Your spreader is wayyyyy cool. Brings back lots of memories. I grew up with manure spreaders of various brands. Lost track of how many tons of straw and manure I've forked into a spreader similar to that. :)

Forgot to mention, load from the front toward the back. Stacking the straw/manure as you go. It unloads much better. :)

Thanks all

So today we drained all the Hydro fluid out of the rear end/hydraulic resivour. I had picked up an original owners manual and a IT service manual which both calls for 10 Gallons with filter we drained about 19-20 out. It was nasty, deep brown to blackish had bubbles and was not good changed the filter again as well. The lift works a lot better now faster stronger just all around better.

Then we went and hooked the PTO up to 10ft bush hog to mow a friends field. The PTO would stop and start fine but, it never speed up with the motor just stuck at a slowish spin. This was the first time we had checked it was told it worked great. My question is could the fluid need changed much like the rest has been? Gonna try that soon but if anyone has any input on it that would be great as well. Knowing my luck something is broke or stripped lol

Thanks again all

Update 9/9/2015:

Hello again all so we drained the PTO nasty thin junk and replaced it with some new temp hydro fluid to wash it out persay. I found out napa carries the correct mineral 90w oil so will pick up a 5 gal barrel to replace. The PTO does much better it dosent free spin any more and it starts and stop with the lever. It now spins faster with the tractor but haven't tried it out yet. We also tried the hydraulic remotes after a while getting the old oil and air out they work about 90% they wont raise stuff all the way up just shy like it run's outta fluid. Maybe when i go back to the req. fluid it will work right all the way .... fingers crossed lol

I finally got the right rear wheel weights and got one on each side bolted on right. Now i gotta get 2 more for each side. For a total of 600lbs on the rear then pick up 13 front weight's aswell when i can afford to hehe

Also yesterday we made a trip to look at some equipment and brought home a Dearborn 13-2 Cultivator points just flipped. This winter when i paint it i will buy all new point's. Also picked up a Dearborn Re-breaker/Tiller gonna do the same paint/points. A Heavy Duty 4 inch boom pole and a Ford Series J 8ft 3pt Disc need's new front disc gonna switch to cut one's instead of round and the back ones are like new when i paint it as well.

Thanks for reading heres some pics of the equipment hope to add some pics as i get stuff done.

Update: 10/17/2015

Howdy all so it's been a month figured i'd post a post some pic's of my progress so far

We had to extend the garage to fit in the new piece's and the tractor plan on another 20ft addition to the side and a 28x28 garage aswell but, money is short with the holiday's on the way. lol

I picked up a Ford 309 2 row corn planter in great shape(came with a part's fert. hopper aswell) For $200 and a Holland Transplanter for $30 at a local auction. I was able to get the Rake painted and new decal's put on and got the corn planter one coat of paint on no pic's yet of it... But i will get some when done thanks for reading

The rake looks awesome man! Great work. You are either really good at negotiating, or just always happen to find amazing deals. Ha ha

Thanks i really enjoy restoring these old equipment back to close to new but still don't care to get'em dirty. Yeah i seem to stumble upon good deal's at time's lol I learned a lot from working at a local Farm Equipment Business so i know what to look for and the repair cost to help talk people down to a reasonable price. Still on the prowl for a 16ft wagon, 6-10ft Bush hog, 7-8ft Grader box, Finish mower and a 2 Row Corn Picker.
