It looks like he needs a third U-joint to hook on the tractor PTO. As long as he gets it on right it should be fine.

Looks maybe the front joint is on a spline that could be turned to align?

Yeah the Middle U-Joint end is splines thankfully. It'll turn it to match the rear U-Joint almost exact but, i marked the pipe placement from the factory position before cutting. It came offset if it was original but, i cant say if the old pipe was a replacement. The tractor PTO U-joint and mid U-joint were right but, the mid and third one were opposite. Be for i hook it up to my big tractor I'll test it on my friends Massey 35 to be safe. But this will be a show piece 90% of the time It's to rare to use often. Thanks for the help and watching out i might even grind down the weld and go ahead and spin it on around to match all three U-Joint's up. Since its a quick job.

Hello again all long time with out a check in sorry bout that. So i been busy working on my equipment between the freezing cold and the snow but, got a few thing's done. I bought a New Holland Model 14 Conestoga wagon. Took the Flat off sanded, painted, new decal's on the running gear. Also built a new rear gate, added new top runners and put the old one's on bottom (not in Pic). Turned out great sorry no before pic's. Also got my Ford 510 Hay crimper sanded, painted and new decals put on. Put 2 new tire's and chain on it works like a dream. Also built a jack stand with shoe for it painting it tonight. So smooth to run can't wait to get it in the field. Next item into the shop is my Ford 501 sickle mower for a good sanding, paint and new decal's. I will have pics before long thanks for looking hope you like my work so far.

Here's the only pic i have of it mostly done had to wait for the new belt to come in to put the belt shield on. I still gotta make a ford grassboard and add the new decal's as well but, it's 95% done now. and i just use Majic paint from TSC and Hand brush everything. I plan on using them all the time and i don't have a paint gun setup as of yet but, soon i hope to get one.

Looks awesome! Your equipment/implement restorations are inspiring. I hope I can make my 501 look half as good as yours. Take care.

You are really doing a fine job on restoring all of your new-to-you implements/attachments!
Lots of folks I know would not take the time & $$ to put the proper decals on them, but I think after doing all the work, the decals are really like frosting on a cake! EXCELLENT WORK!

You mentioned using Majic brand paint from TSC. Are you hand sanding, sand blasting, wire brushing and then applying a primer coat before laying down the paint color coat? One or more coats? BEAUTIFUL work! :drink:
